Is Jesus really God ?

What biblical passage leads you to believe Jesus was created?

From my knowledge of scripture Christ has always existed.
We are not in disagreement. :) Please read through my posts to see what I was addressing.

No, that is more than just my definition. God has attributes that make him God that no created thing can have. One of those attributes is that God is uncreated. Therefore, no created being can ever be called God.

Then how could Jesus be God? Man was created. Jesus was fully man, according to you. Now you say no created thing can ever be called God, but at the same time you say the man was God.

why do some want to know if jesus is god? is he in power then?
i know i control my own life and am made out of material too..
but my name is not jesus.

i was wondering who has it forth to say?

expect before

not sent by men or god himself maybe it was just the sun or a star. but i am human as much as i could be. i'd say for me the last.

wether you keep on wondering who is, god or jesus. i carrie on being me'!:waving:D

I have clearly stated that Jesus is the God-man, truly God and truly man. This is what Scripture reveals.

2 Kings 13. 4
And Jehoahaz besought the LORD, and the LORD hearkened unto him: for he saw the oppression of Israel, because the king of Syria oppressed them.
5 (And the LORD gave Israel a saviour, so that they went out from under the hand of the Syrians: and the children of Israel dwelt in their tents, as beforetime.

In the following passages 03467 = save, saviour etc.

Jud 3:9 And when the children of Israel cried unto the LORD, the LORD raised up a deliverer <03467> to the children of Israel, who delivered <03467> them, even Othniel the son of Kenaz, Caleb’s younger brother.
Jud 3:15 But when the children of Israel cried unto the LORD, the LORD raised them up a deliverer <03467>, Ehud the son of Gera, a Benjamite, a man lefthanded: and by him the children of Israel sent a present unto Eglon the king of Moab.
Jud 3:31 And after him was Shamgar the son of Anath, which slew of the Philistines six hundred men with an ox goad: and he also delivered <03467> Israel.
Jud 6:14 And the LORD looked upon him, and said, Go in this thy might, and thou shalt save <03467> Israel from the hand of the Midianites: have not I sent thee?
Jud 6:15 And he said unto him, Oh my Lord, wherewith shall I save <03467> Israel? behold, my family is poor in Manasseh, and I am the least in my father’s house.

Are all these saviours God too?

If you allow Holy Spirit to teach you instead of your own mind, which leads astray into flights of fancy, you will know that these are human saviours (small 's'), saving His people from death at the hands of enemy armies.

Jesus is the Son of God, our Saviour from sin, and the hand of the enemy of our souls, Satan.

And as far as I am concerned, these kinds of arguments reveal a true poverty of spiritual integrity. If you truly knew Jesus as your personal Saviour, you wouldn't be holding debate about His deity.

Is Jesus God or is He a maniac? What are we really arguing?

... Then saith Jesus unto him... Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve. Matthew 4:10

While [Jesus] spake these things unto them, behold, there came a certain ruler, and worshipped him... Matthew 9:18

And again, when [God] bringeth in the firstbegotten [Jesus] into the world, he saith, And let all the angels of God worship him. Hebrews 1:6

And Thomas answered and said unto [Jesus], My Lord and my God. John 20:28

These arguments you present show a very poor sense of logic and common sense.

Don't you know that there were no capital letters in the Hebrew? And the major greek manuscripts were ALL in capitals?

No, I didn't think so.

Oh, please excuse the scholars who translated scripture for their poor understanding! They have led me down the garden path again! :thud:

What is your excuse then, for equating earthly saviours with Jesus the Saviour of mankind from the penalty of sin? Is that it?

Ge 23:7 And Abraham stood up, and bowed <07812> himself to the people of the land, even to the children of Heth.
Ge 23:12 And Abraham bowed down <07812> himself before the people of the land.

07812 = worship. Look it up and see.

Ge 42:6 And Joseph was the governor over the land, and he it was that sold to all the people of the land: and Joseph’s brethren came, and bowed down <07812> themselves before him with their faces to the earth.
Ge 43:26 And when Joseph came home, they brought him the present which was in their hand into the house, and bowed <07812> themselves to him to the earth.
Ge 43:28 And they answered, Thy servant our father is in good health, he is yet alive. And they bowed down their heads, and made obeisance <07812>.

I'm doing no such thing.

I am merely showing you that someone being called 'saviour' does not necessarily mean that he/she is God.

That goes without saying. However, Jesus is our Saviour and Lord. It has been shown to you the difference. It is obvious even to a blind man.

terrible, hope it shows. nop jesus is not god

jesus is a part and god is the whole'.

Thats a way of denial of Christ..To say that He is not God with all the scripture I have shown in this thread..

Hey people, 47 pages and no one has budged and nothing has been resolved.

This topic has clearly run it's course. It did start off nice though. :yes
