Is Star Wars a tool of Satan?

Soma, I had to remove the links from your original post. We found the content distasteful and even objectionable at times.

Also, continue to post in the self-righteous manner you have been posting in and I will just delete any post you post in any of my forums. Actions speak louder than words and quite frankly, your actions stink. They are not very becoming for someone who claims to be Christian. :-?

Consider this a warning on conduct.

Is it self righteous to question why this forum is dedicated to smashing down Budhist, Hindu, and mystic religons whilie its members find no problem is washing there minds with Star Wars Pantheism?

Really vic, I am surprised that you take such dramatic prose in this respect when all I have done is ask a generalized question that seems to be a glaring contradiction in the hive mind paradigm here at Christian Forums....

We have a movie that promotes idolatry, meditation, occult mysticism, magick, buddhist mindfulness, gnostic epiphanies, etc with no one raising a heckle over the massive hyseteria interculating itself in the minds of the Christian comunity.

It just "rubs my cat the wrong way" so to speak when you all go every Sunday to a Church that teaches eternal damnation in hellfire for buddhist and eastern ideaologies.... and after service you see no problem is supporting a movie that is chalk full of the same religon you just condemed!

There seems to be a hint of "hypocricy" here......

That points us to two obvious conclusions.....

1. Either Star Wars and the philosphies its presents has decieved the majority of the Christian comunity.....

2. Or the very philospohies and ideas you condemn as heretcial are in actuality congruent with a Higher Truth......

So in order to stay objective I am wondering which of these options it could possibly be.......

Or am I missing a third alternative.....

I sense much anger in you my padiwan.....

I notice that you believe this to be "your" forum and you have to assert your dominace here.....

Being as we are on the "Jedi" topic, I believe this attitude to be of the "darkside" of the force in that you are getting defensive with "ego" and "negative" energy when all I have done here is bring up a general issue that seems to have other Christian supporters as you can find with many different websites.......

So no offence vic but what gives?

I have called no one here any names and have debated this topic on reasonable grounds as has been presented in my earlier posts that are well within decent forum ettiquette guidlines.....

1. So you either really love Star Wars and take this as a personal Jedi Mind Attack?

2. Or you just dont like Soma's style?

I think you probably just have a thing for good old Yoda......

Star Wars is one of the greatest stories ever told or invisioned, I personally think that is may have been a gift from Jesus in a possible vission given to George Lucas, a story a wonderful, and creative as Star Wars could not have possibly been formed by one man. Star Wars is Not!!!!!!!!!, a tool of the devil, the mere thought of that trully sickens me. I love the Lord Jesus Christ more than anything in my life, I hold Jesus higher than anything in my life, followed by my soon to be wife, and thats the way it should be. My parents are very strong christians as well, and my father showed me the first Star Wars movie to me when I was very little it is the first full movie I remember sitting down and watching, I love Star Wars so much, and I'm still a christian, People do not worship Yoda, that is rediculous. You may have seen children pretend to do something like that, but you need to realize, these are the same children who eat playdo, think there going to mars in an hour and have an imaginary friend named george. Any adult who looks at the story with an open mind, and heart will realize not only is it not a tool of the devil, but that it has many strong christian undertones. My guese is that the people who started this, are middle aged, closed minded, who have never really taken a hard look at Star Wars. The light side of the force in some ways I believe is ment to parallel God and his power. Listen to the way Obi-Wan Kenobi talks about the force. When Yoda talks to Obi-Wan about talking to Qui-Gon(who has been dead for many years), he does not mean it in a sorcerus or demonic way at all. In the story of Star Wars Jedi who have passed into the so-called netherworld of the force, can come back to advize and watch over the Jedi of the present day. Step back, take a breath, and realize this is just a story, realize that in this story there is no such thing as Heaven or hell, ovcourse comunication with the dead is not possible, or right, but it is not meant in that way, its just part of the story. There is a book called "Christian Wisdom of the Jedi Masters" everyone shoul really read it, it is written by a well acclaimed christian author. It speeks of the many similarities between the Jedi and christianity. If you want to go after something movie wise, please go after harry potter, its evil is corrupting the minds of millions of children before they even reallize the choice between good or evil, most of these children have not even reached the age of accountability, and they now have a sugar coated version of witch craft and wicka, which both are very real threats to christianity, and our peacful way of life. Star Wars teaches faith in the Unseen, and the real life comparrison being faith in Jesus Christ the Lord, who we can not see with our eye's. I strongly suggest that whoever wrote the original coment go back and with a open mind watch the Star Wars movies, and I think that you will realize how wrong you trully are. Jesus teaches love anyway to attack anything like you have is wrong and you know it. Jesus be with us all. God bless.[/u][/b]

Well I certainly do not believe that Star Wars is a tool of satan.

My ex-inlaws did, even to the extent that those little voice chips that came with the EP 1 figures were designed to get kids "more accepting" of the mark of the beast.
