Is the world really searching for truth?

I was a nice person even before I was born again. There would have been no visible change noticeable to anyone around me.
I suspected this was the case.
People who don't have a clear distinction between their old lives and their new lives won't see how the old nature is kaput for the believer.

Those who believe such as yourself also believe that the outward proof of the new birth is that we will make a practice of doing right at all times. And at all costs.
Uh.....no. I do not believe that.
What's different is what I think and feel about my sin. It doesn't jibe with the new me. But I was all too cozy and comfortable with it before the new nature was birthed in me. The invading, alien thing that chaffed me was righteous things. Now it's the other way around. Sin is what chaffs me. It's an alien thing in my flesh now. I can even want to do it, but deep inside it doesn't fit right anymore.

To be honest as said both points of view does my head in. I can see both sides of the argument and I cannot settle on one or the other. That's cause I know myself. A man who will wake up tomorrow and will be a grumpy git.

I have to focus on Jesus that I am a grumpy git and don't want be so. But what is more important is to know that despite this I'm still loved
You don't have to pick one side or the other Wrg.
Why even think about it?
You do your best to do what God would want from you.
Jesus handles the rest.
As we live our lives we hopefully become better and better.
It takes a lifetime and we're all different.

You made your choice when you chose to follow the Lord.
No other choice is necessary.

My 2 cents.

Wondering

Where's my stupid wristband, buddy?!

Why even think about it?
Why? Because it's especially important for people like Wrg to find some comfort and consolation in the midst of the struggle with sin.
That's how it works for me. I get tempted, but I find comfort in the new nature in me by the Holy Spirit that my temptations and my failures in those temptations don't represent who I truly am inside now.

Now what was this thread originally about? Who started this thread anyway?

you must think of yourself as a hipster.
I am very hip.
I had long hair in the 70's.
My mom said I looked like Joe Pepitone (Go Cubs!) when I played baseball.

The coconuts prolly weren't even born yet.

Hey, where that's thread you started that has a clip from your church you used to go to?
I'm not done watching it.
Been busy mopping things up in the Apologetics forum.

Hey, Bodine, you like Kid Creole and the Coconuts, right?
I just got a nice new picture of them.
Want to see it?

Jesus said, "I am the way the truth and the life." The world is searching for the truth but they aren't searching for it in Jesus. They find something but it isn't truth and all. It's a lie of the devil that looks good so they buy it.
