Bible Study Jesus

After spending a few chapters in Ro describing God's loving, merciful GRACE Paul then goes on in Ro 6:1-2a: "What shall we say, then? Shall we go on sinning so that grace may increase? By no means! We died to sin; how can we live in it any longer?" and as he continues he says in Ro 6:15: "What then? Shall we sin because we are not under the law but under grace? By no means!" Paul goes on to explain that we are "slaves" to God and righteousness.

I think you need to be very careful with what you are trying to say in light of this.

Where in Romans do you read paul saying that we have to observ the Law?
Is it not observing the Law sining?
Not observing the Law is not to sin. Observing - trying to - the Law leads directly to sin.

Jesus said himself that the law of Leviticus was not usurped by his coming. The only thing Jesus changed was the manor of punishment. Mortal man no longer had authority to
take another life fr these violations, wrath and punishment was and is the ulltimate authority of God alone...which is why the death penalty is evil no matter who it is apllied to.

The law is affirmed later in the writings of the apostles who affirm over and over that the deviant, wicked, perverse and selfish shall NOT enter the kingdom of heaven, nor will
those who espouse perversions, support deviance and teach their childrento also support deviance.

As I read it in the Gospels, Jesus stablished the end of the Moses Law; and the NT clearly states that we can not go back under the Law.
Any how... if you really believe that you have to observ the Moses Las:
1 - are you cincunciced according to the Law?
2 - do you observ the sabbath from Fri night until Sat night?
3 - do you avoid tithing in money?

In John 1:1-3 we find that nothing exists in the world that Jesus did not create or cause to be. And when we read Malachi, in the third chapter and the sixth verse we find God explaining that He never changes! What Jesus did for us, before the cross, was to teach us, not the letter of the Law, rather, He taught all that will listen, the heart of the Law.

Hello taylor,

Indeed! I like how you put that 'the heart of the law'... indeed it is all about LOVE!

Matt 7:12 ' Do to others whatever you would have them do to you. This is the law and the prophets.'

John 15:17 'This I command you: love one another. '

Peace!
