Justified by the faith of Jesus Christ.

The Faith of a True Believer is the result of Christ bearing fruit Jn 12:24

24Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone: but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit.

Engrafting us in Faith, is the result of the engrafting of Christ and He bearing fruit in us. Rom 11:17

17And if some of the branches be broken off, and thou, being a wild olive tree, wert grafted in among them, and with them partakest of the root and fatness of the olive tree;

19Thou wilt say then, The branches were broken off, that I might be grafted in.

20Well; because of unbelief they were broken off, and thou standest by faith. Be not highminded, but fear:

This scripture should give anyone who has the least bit of spiritual understanding,to know that Faith is not of man by nature, it's an engrafting by the Spirit of God, Paul was here telling the Gentiles that they have been given the Gift of Faith See Phil 1:29, so do not be Highminded as if your Faith or something you did grafted you in !

Note: those of us who believe that their act of faith or believing landed them in Christ, that is highmindedness, pride !

For He [Jesus Christ] is the root that beareth us ! Rom 11:18

Boast not against the branches. But if thou boast, thou bearest not the root, but the root thee.

Our Fruit of Faith is from Christ ! Hos 14:8

Ephraim shall say, What have I to do any more with idols? I have heard him, and observed him: I am like a green fir tree. From me is thy fruit found.

Faith to believe in Christ is the result of the engrafting or operation of God Producing it in us ! Col 2:12

Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead.

The weymouth version reads:

having been buried with Him in your baptism, in which you were also raised with Him through faith produced within you by God who raised Him from among the dead.

We believe according to His Mighty Power Eph 1:19

19And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power,

The Antichrist followers have in our day hijacked God given, heaven born Faith, as being a Spiritual Mercy from Christ, unto it being a production of the flesh to win approval of God and secure unto themselves Everlasting Life, what a Blasphemy !

Faith is a substance, a heavenly, spiritual substance, it is not generated by the carnal or natural mind of man, for it is an Eternal Substance, that God gives in New Birth to comprehend Eternal Realties 2 Cor 4:18-5:7

18 While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.

Note: This Truth here should silence all lies about Faith being generated by the flesh of man, because the flesh cannot comprehend unseen spiritual realities, from eternity !

5 For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.

2 For in this we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed upon with our house which is from heaven:

3 If so be that being clothed we shall not be found naked.

4 For we that are in this tabernacle do groan, being burdened: not for that we would be unclothed, but clothed upon, that mortality might be swallowed up of life.

5 Now he that hath wrought us for the selfsame thing is God, who also hath given unto us the earnest of the Spirit.

6 Therefore we are always confident, knowing that, whilst we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord:

7 (For we walk by faith, not by sight )

It is most blasphemous to teach that faith Heb 11:1, is a product of a creature of time, even more, a fallen creature, in a spiritual dead state and alienated from the Life of God. Faith deals with the Eternal and Unseen, things the natural mind cannot comprehend, for its like a gold fish trying to comprehend algerba ! The Faith of Heb 11:1 is not present in the natural man, but only the spiritual man, the born of God or born of incorruptible seed 1 Pet 1:23, the Word of God,As the Father of the Faithful, Abraham had this Faith, for he was born out of incorruptible seed, the word of God and He was promised a numerous seed of that same kind of Faith, the Children of Promise !

Faith is developed within the heart of man when he hears the word of God;

Rom 10:9,10 "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."

Rom 10:17 "So then faith [cometh] by hearing, and hearing by the word of God."

And this faith/belief comes before salvation, Mk 16;16.

Jesus said it also !

Jesus Christ states that Faith in Him is a Gift of God, when He said this Jn 6:65

And he said, Therefore said I unto you, that no man can come unto me [That is Believe in me], except it[Believing] were given unto him of my Father.

Believing in Christ for Salvation is special gift of the abundance of God's Grace as Paul states that it was his experience 1 Tim 1:14

14 And the grace of our Lord was exceeding abundant with faith and love which is in Christ Jesus.

And it is of the Operation of the Spirit, or the Fruit of His Producing Gal 5:22

22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,

The word fruit means :

that which originates or comes from something, an effect, result

The result of the Spirit [working in us] is Love and Faith

It is of His Producing in the new heart of man !

For faith is the fruit and effect of Electing Grace, and so it is called the Faith of God's Elect Titus 1:1

Paul, a servant of God, and an apostle of Jesus Christ, according to the faith of God's elect, and the acknowledging of the truth which is after godliness;

And so Paul Teaches Eph 2:8-9

8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.

Rom 11:5-6

5 Even so then at this present time also there is a remnant according to the election of grace.

6 And if by grace, then is it no more of works: otherwise grace is no more grace. But if it be of works, then it is no more grace: otherwise work is no more work.

Now if we do not Believe Jesus that Faith in Him is a Gift given, then we are unbelievers and lack faith in Christ !

Faith is a gift of God only in the sense that God grants man or gives man the opportunity to have faith. If the only way man could have faith is if God gave it to him, then those that are faithless are so as a result of God's failure to give them faith making God culpable for the lost.

Re: Justified by the faith of Jesus Christ. This is 1/2 truth whith is flawed without the CONDITIONAL Provision of Obedience. Rom. 8:1 finds one IN THE FAITH OF CHRIST.

Rom. 8
[1] There is therefor now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
...
[14] For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.

And THE 'ONE' FAITH?? It is found in Eph. 4:5 as only being one. Not dozen's of false teachings such as this one.

Eph. 4
[4] There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one [[hope]] of your calling;
[5] One Lord, one faith, one baptism, (not having faith, but being IN CHRIST'S ONE VIRGIN FAITH, see Isa. 5)

PS:
Note these verses...

[13] And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.

1Cor.14

[1] Follow after charity, and [[[desire spiritual gifts]], but rather that ye may prophesy.

And what is before 'FAITH'!! Acts 5:32 requires full surrender before any gifts are given. Surely a 'gift' is understood here???

I've noticed there seems to be some confusion about whether we're justified before God by our faith or the faith of Christ. The translators of many Bibles took the liberty of changing the words "faith of Jesus Christ" to "faith in Jesus Christ" sometime in the early 19th Century. Even though the Greek confirms this, as I will show later, and was used correctly in other instances, such as the "hand of God" and the "faith of Abraham", the references to the faith of Christ was changed in many translations to faith in Christ. Tyndales, the Great Bible, Young's, and the KJV, all kept it in it's correct form, but most of the new translations adopted this practice of changing the "of" to "in". I submit it greatly affects the truth of what the Word says about how we're justified. I'll post on the Greek translations in a bit, but I'd be interested in hearing your views on this very important point of doctrine.

So, let's look first at some verses that aren't affected by a difference in translations.
We see that Jesus is the author and finisher (or perfecter) of our faith.
Some may wonder why Jesus needs faith to begin with, or if He even has faith of His own, since being justified by the faith of Christ would require that He did.

Actually the NIV and NASB translate that as;
NIV: fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith.
NASB: fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith.
From these two perspectives, the message is quite different than what you assert, don't you think?

False teaching , show us a verse that states this !

Rom 10:17 faith comes by hearing, hearing by the word of God. By God gving His word to man, it gave man the opportunity to excercise his free will to have faith based upon that word or not. The false notion is that only God controls who has faith and who does not. In this case if one did not have faith it is God's fault and failure.

And God even has His Second Inspired Book of His Nature SPEAKING. Rom. 2:14-15

Faith and Repentance !

Acts 20:21

Testifying both to the Jews, and also to the Greeks, repentance toward God, and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ.

Both Faith and Repentance are Two of the good works that the New Creation Eph 2:10 has been ordained to walk in, and what God Himself has ordained, and He causes us[The New Creature] to do them Ezk 36:26-27

26 A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh.

27 And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them.

Now in verse 26 and 27a we have God describing the New Birth, following are its fruits, doing what is commanded as Faith and Repentance. When the New Creature with the New Spirit and the Heart of Flesh is commanded to Repent and to Believe in Christ, it does it, God causes them to do it ! They doing them is fruit or evidence of having been given the New Birth of vs 26-27a or as stated in Eph 2:10 being made God's Workmanship !

First, this does not explain the problem that if one can only have faith if God gives it to Him, then God is at fault for those who are faithless. Mt 8:26, Jesus' criticism should have been directed towards God for failing to give those people sufficient faith.

Secondly, Eph 2:10 references a group called Christians not certain indivduals. Before the world began God foreknew a group and foreknew the work this group would do. Before the world began God did not foreknow certain indviduals randomly or uncondtionally to be saved. God foreknew the group "Christian" but God did not predetermine what individuals would or would not be in this group performing those foreknown works.

Lastly, Eze 36:26,27 is a Hebrew idiom where God is said to actively do something when in reality He simply allows it to happen. So God would allow or permit them to have a new heart, God would allow or permit them to walk in His statutes. Compare this to Eze 18:31 "Cast away from you all your transgressions, whereby ye have transgressed; and make you a new heart and a new spirit: for why will ye die, O house of Israel?" Here they would make themselves a new heart and spirit, how? By obeying God in casting away their transgressions. If they would cast away their transgressions then God would permit them to have a new heart and spirit and walk in His statutes. God will not force this on people violating their free will. If only God could give them a new heart and spirit and God did not do this they would die, yet it is not God's will transgressors die, but He desires they live, Eze 18:32. So if they did not cast away thier transgressions then they would not have a new heart and spirit and that would be their own fault and not God's fault.

The first & only PROBLEM for lost man to UNDERSTAND was that he was eternally lost! It was then that the Plan was brought forth that man would be REQUIRED TO COMPLY WITH for the Lord to bring them back. Maturity was, is, and ever will be the only thing accepted by God. (Nah. 1:9) Yet, He supplies ALL the 'extra' power needed, even for us'ins;) that still might have some power that has not been totally lost yet, that which is still God's power that He created us with. Regardless of the gentile world not accepting that it is His. (some say that I did this or that.. such as the will power to quite smoking, or the like?)

Revelation before Faith and unto Faith !

One cannot properly believe in or on Christ without the Spirit's work in him as being a Spirit of wisdom and Revelation in the the Knowledge of Christ, which is a special gift of God's Grace, hence we believe through Grace Eph 1:17

17 That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him:

The word revelation here is the greek word apokalypsis:

laying bare, making naked

2) a disclosure of truth, instruction

a) concerning things before unknown

b) used of events by which things or states or persons hitherto withdrawn from view are made visible to all

3) manifestation, appearance

It is the same word used when Paul says He received the Gospel by revelation Gal 1:12

12 For I neither received it[Gospel] of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ.

The Gospel is Revealed Rom 1:16-17

16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.

17 For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.

So The Spirit must reveal Christ in us in order to believe in Him !

So The Spirit must reveal Christ in us in order to believe in Him !

In us?
No, God's Word says "No man comes to the Father except throught Jesus.", and Jesus said "No man comes to me except the Father draw Him."
This is called Grace, and the Bible also says "We are saved by Grace, through Faith."

The false notion is that only God controls who has faith and who does not. In this case if one did not have faith it is God's fault and failure.

Yes.:thumbsup

John 3:16.....that "whosoever"

"whosoever", means everyone given the chance equally and without partiality..

Something else to consider....
How could God be just if he decided who would be saved and who would not believe?
How could he be just if he set up a system of atonement and then would not allow any but the "elect" to believe it?
If he controlled each of us so that some would believe and some could not because he locked minds and hearts so that some cant, then how could he hold them accountable for dying without Christ as their sin bearer when he caused this situation?
He couldn't and it be right or just.

if one reads and studies non reformational theology this problem never arises. That Christ was the pioneer,(author) and perfector of faith, is why we can use Him as our model and example. We are called to exemplfy His faith, constant, unfaltering, enduring to the end. For Him to the Cross, for us to salvation.
