Left Freemasonry to follow Christ

As a son of a Freemason, one who continued his membership even after after joining the RCC, but as one who has never been invited personally, and also as an interested 3rd party as well as a disinterested 3rd party... lol, may I say "Welcome" to one and all?

:wave

My dad (now deceased), the FreeMason, was also an Elk (and I did attend swimming classes there at the Elks lodge while young, that's where I learned how to dive off a diving board) and he was also a graduate of the Dale Carnegie classes. My dad wasn't a Shriner, but I've met and worked with them in the past.

:nod It's a pleasure to meet you.

:shocked! I've also met and worked with lawyers too, but don't tell my little secret, please?

Cordially yours,
Sparrow

Say mark the member that started this thread said he "Left Freemasonry to follow Christ" why are you suggesting anyone should join? :chin

I have no idea what you're talking about. I not doing any recruiting here, I'm just countering your conspiracy nonsense.

I have to say, I'm having second thoughts about this forum. I never in my life thought there could be so many Christians wallowing around in the swamp of conspiracy theories as I find here. I feel like I've wandered onto the set of "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest"

Your not getting it mark the organization you belong to forbids you to say Jesus Christ "Is The Great Architect" Tell me I'm wrong and I'll leave it be.

You're wrong!.

Now leave

;)You are not wrong, turnorburn. Don't let him push you around. Further, you don't have to leave. You have just encountered an apologetic for the "gentle craft".

The first three degress of masonry are called the Blue Lodge. Most masons don't take degrees beyond that, but those who wish to do so can take degrees in the two main branches of Scottish Rites and York Rites. There are other appendant bodies, such as Shriners, and Eastern Star for women, but Elks are not part of masonry.
I thought the first three degrees were 1.Entered apprentice 2.Fellowcrafts 3.Master Mason ?

G'day Duane, I hope you find it enjoyable here. All I'll say on the matter of your choice to leave freemasonry is, you made the right choice because "Man cannot serve two masters because he will love the one, and hate the other."
Blessings.

Welcome!!!
I don't know what masonry is.
I am glad, though, that you found Christ. He's the one who really matters!
Keep your eye's on heaven!

My name is Duane Washum. In 1978, I was initiated, passed, and raised into Freemasonry. In 1983, I was Worshipful Master of the lodge I was once a member of.

But in January of 1984 - Friday the 13th to be exact:) - I was convicted by the Holy Spirit, I repented and prayed to God for His forgiveness, and accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior. Since that time, I have been witnessing for the Lord about the incompatibilities between Freemasonry and the Christian faith. At present, I am Director of Ex Masons For Jesus.
Hi bro. I like your testimony, it has the ring of truth in it. I know, these 24 years later, the exact moment I was indwelt with the Holy Spirit. I had promised god never to do another Gig after the one for Dec. 31 to 2am Jan.1, 1990.

As I played and sang the traditional New Years song I was indwelt, packed up my gear and went home without the pay I so desperately needed. Bar time, that would be 15 minutes before 12 midnight, still in 1989, I'll never forget when the Christ saved me.

Welcome to the forum and I'm proud to know your my brother. God bless.
