I don't feel the need to answer to rolling accusations of someone trying to claw for ground. What is your background that allows you to determine what is truthful or not about these things?
Yes, you falsely accused me. This is what I prefaced that with: “So, Copan gives two courses of action suggested by Ex 22:16-17 and Deut 22:28-29:”I told you where it was. The lad made a thread called "Is God sexist?", and a few of you were discussing rape. You guys were batting around Exodus 22 and Deuteronomy 22 and you asserted that the girl has to agree right here...
Scripture didn't say that, but you went ahead and inserted it anyway. Not a mistake, not a bit of confusion, but a completely added plug. Adding to the Word. A lie. You do this repeatedly. A consequence of this action is getting absolutely no respect for anything you say, which is completely justified.
Do you want to address how you falsely accused me of falsely accusing you or are you going to continue down a different path of the same type of deflection?
I'm not concerned about someone named Copan. It was YOU relaying the lie here. You, not him.Yes, you falsely accused me. This is what I prefaced that with: “So, Copan gives two courses of action suggested by Ex 22:16-17 and Deut 22:28-29:”
I was paraphrasing from a book. I then clarified it when asked about it:
“Copan cites another source for the idea that the girl has some say in the matter. Perhaps it ultimately comes from extant Jewish commentary.”
So, again, typical of you to not be able to follow a discussion, take things out of context, and then purposely misrepresent what someone has said. Just stop with the false accusations.
You’re a hypocrite. You insult someone who has a decent amount of education and experience (more than anyone else here) to understand specifics pertaining to this discussion, but you have nothing, yet claim you are right.I don't feel the need to answer to rolling accusations of someone trying to claw for ground.
For the third time, what do you think this verse means and how does it apply in the context of vaccines, COVID, and this pandemic? Here is the best medical advice given by the Great Physician.
Jesus answered and said to them, “Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick. I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners, to repentance.”
Luke 5:31
- Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick.

Whine about someone accusing, saying it's not how Christians should act, and at the same time accuse. That is what being a hypocrite means. Attempts at structuring language aren't doing you any good. You’re a hypocrite. You insult someone who has a decent amount of education and experience (more than anyone else here) to understand specifics pertaining to this discussion, but you have nothing, yet claim you are right.
My issue is with the false accusations you made, but what I have said is true.Whine about someone accusing, saying it's not how Christians should act, and at the same time accuse. That is what being a hypocrite means. Attempts at structuring language aren't doing you any good.

Indiana life insurance CEO says deaths are up 40% among people ages 18-64
(The Center Square) – The head of Indianapolis-based insurance company OneAmerica said the death rate is up a stunning 40% from pre-pandemic levels among working-age people.
“We are seeing, right now, the highest death rates we have seen in the history of this business – not just at OneAmerica,” the company’s CEO Scott Davison said during an online news conference this week. “The data is consistent across every player in that business.”
OneAmerica is a $100 billion insurance company that has had its headquarters in Indianapolis since 1877. The company has approximately 2,400 employees and sells life insurance, including group life insurance to employers nationwide.

No, it's always been like that. From the beginning. Smallpox vaccinations, for example, give you a weakened virus that will actually cause a small infection that will keep you from becoming seriously ill if exposed to the natural virus. Polio vaccine is like that, too. It won't keep you from being infected, but it will keep you from having severe disease. It is true that vaccination will tend to prevent infection; unvaccinated people are several times more likely to be infected than vaccinated people. But the important thing is that unvaccinated people are many times more likely to become severely ill or die.Yes I fully understand what the definition was changed to in order to make the statement correct.
See above. You've been misled about that. The "covid vaccines" are not required to function at the same efficacy rate of previous vaccines such as the ones for hep or tetanus, etc.
That's like asking my how I am dealing with the Easter bunny. My last honest question to you, as a supposed scientist or at least an amateur scientist being a teacher, was "As a scientist, how are you dealing with the definition changes?"
Fortunately, it doesn't matter how you feel about the facts. Reality is an inconvenient thing sometimes, but it has the virtue of being true.to which you didn't answer. After some other things you posted on the issue, your voice, as far as being anything remotely related to credibility in any scientific field, was over.
Up to you. As I said, reality doesn't care what you think about it.You and I don't have to speak. I see you as betraying your "office" so there is no need, not even if the powers that be want engagement on the site.

We are trying to understand things from thousands of years ago through a modern cultural lens. We have to do what we can to limit making a verse say either more or less than it does. There are numerous scholars who would need to be read to get a better understanding, including those Copan refers to. He is one of many, obviously, but he could be right. Just because you don’t like his answer doesn’t mean he is wrong.
For the third time, what do you think this verse means and how does it apply in the context of vaccines, COVID, and this pandemic?

Jesus makes no mention of politicians or forced or medical treatment. Are those the only situations the verse applies to?It applies to any situation that involves a person being forced by politicians to receive medical treatment when they are not sick.
Of course I believe what Jesus said, but what do you think he said? You still haven’t answered that question.Jesus answered and said to them, “Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick. I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners, to repentance.”
Luke 5:31

Those who are well have no need of a physician.
Do you believe what Jesus said?

Davison said the increase in deaths represents “huge, huge numbers,” and that’s it’s not elderly people who are dying, but “primarily working-age people 18 to 64” who are the employees of companies that have group life insurance plans through OneAmerica.
“And what we saw just in third quarter, we’re seeing it continue into fourth quarter, is that death rates are up 40% over what they were pre-pandemic,” he said.
“Just to give you an idea of how bad that is, a three-sigma or a one-in-200-year catastrophe would be 10% increase over pre-pandemic,” he said. “So 40% is just unheard of.”
Davison was one of several business leaders who spoke during the virtual news conference on Dec. 30 that was organized by the Indiana Chamber of Commerce.
Most of the claims for deaths being filed are not classified as COVID-19 deaths, Davison said.
“What the data is showing to us is that the deaths that are being reported as COVID deaths greatly understate the actual death losses among working-age people from the pandemic. It may not all be COVID on their death certificate, but deaths are up just huge, huge numbers.”
He said at the same time, the company is seeing an “uptick” in disability claims, saying at first it was short-term disability claims, and now the increase is in long-term disability claims.
“For OneAmerica, we expect the costs of this are going to be well over $100 million, and this is our smallest business. So it’s having a huge impact on that,” he said.
That $100 million is what OneAmerica will have paid out to policyholders in group life insurance and disability claims, the company said.
Davison said the costs will be passed on to employers purchasing group life insurance policies, who will have to pay higher premiums.
The CDC weekly death counts, which reflect the information on death certificates and so have a lag of up to eight weeks or longer, show that for the week ending Nov. 6, there were far fewer deaths from COVID-19 in Indiana compared to a year ago – 195 verses 336 – but more deaths from other causes – 1,350 versus 1,319.
These deaths were for people of all ages, however, while the information referenced by Davison was for working-age people who are employees of businesses with group life insurance policies.
At the same news conference where Davison spoke, Brian Tabor, the president of the Indiana Hospital Association, said that hospitals across the state are being flooded with patients “with many different conditions,” saying “unfortunately, the average Hoosiers’ health has declined during the pandemic.”
In a follow-up call, he said he did not have a breakdown showing why so many people in the state are being hospitalized – for what conditions or ailments. But he said the extraordinarily high death rate quoted by Davison matched what hospitals in the state are seeing.
"What it confirmed for me is it bore out what we're seeing on the front end,..." he said.
The number of hospitalizations in the state is now higher than before the COVID-19 vaccine was introduced a year ago, and in fact is higher than it’s been in the past five years, Dr. Lindsay Weaver, Indiana’s chief medical officer, said at a news conference with Gov. Eric Holcomb on Wednesday.
i have debunked this from the military database ordeal in another threadNo , that is not the indication at all . Here is the rest of the article I put the link for . I did bold some parts for you .
