Hi Sister gerbilgirl, God loved all men enough to send Jesus to die for them; shouldn't I love them too?
I do not have to compromise my beliefs to care for others, but it is many times my exhibited
love for them that leads them to listen, and then it becomes God's responsibility to give the
increase to anything accomplished.
I think these following scriptures pretty much covers what we ought to be to others.
Rom 12:18 If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men.
Heb 12:14 Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord:
Blessings in Christ Jesus. :wave2

That was a commercial, a fantasy.
It does promote peace and coexistence.

Good post.
I would add that loving my neighbor (next door or 12 time zones away) does not include refusing to lift a hand while he slaughters his neighbors.

2 Corinthians 6:14-15;
The Apostle Paul tells us not to be yoked with unbelievers, as we have nothing in common with them.
In today's world, we see it used mainly in marriage and business partnerships.
Also, ecumanism is a consideration in today's muslim-Christian relationships, as this commercial seems to promote.
It sounds like Amazon prime is saying, "let's bring muslims and Christians together so we can make more money.
Very worldly.

Now Mother Teresa was clearly a leader in the ecumenical movement.
When you bring her into the conversation, you also bring ecumenism with it.

I like the commercial. I don't think they need to only get their stuff through Amazon as the commercial seems to suggest. But the heart of it, to have friendships and care for them even if they are of a different faith. That is a good moment I think.

....much better then the cable commercial reducing holiday family time together to being around the tv entertainment.

Mother Theresa was a woman from an upper middle class family who left it all to devote her life to being a servant to the poorest of the poor.
She was the best example of example of what it means to Christ like by laying down one's life for one's neighbor that the world was blessed to see in the 20th century.
And all you can think of is that she was one of "them damn-KATH-licks."
No wonder the church is in such disarray.

Rich Mullins (writer of the song Awesome God) once said this;
"Jesus said whatever you do to the least of these my brothers you've done it to me. And this is what I've come to think. That if I want to identify fully with Jesus Christ, who I claim to be my Savior and Lord, the best way that I can do that is to identify with the poor. This I know will go against the teachings of all the popular evangelical preachers. But they're just wrong. They're not bad, they're just wrong. Christianity is not about building an absolutely secure little niche in the world where you can live with your perfect little wife and your perfect little children in a beautiful little house where you have no gays or minority groups anywhere near you. Christianity is about learning to love like Jesus loved and Jesus loved the poor and Jesus loved the broken-hearted."

Now Mullins lived on an average salary and gave the rest of all his millions made from his music to the poor.
He quoted the above in 1986 and I got saved in 1985.
I have been in agreement with him the entire time right up to the present day.
The difference between Rich Mullins and Mother Teresa is that he never stopped preaching the Gospel whereas Mother Teresa may have never preached the Gospel.

You sir, have a hangup on the Roman Catholic Church.
Get over it.

So how do you get a Muslim to listen to you preach the gospel to him?
Put a loud speaker in his cell at Gitmo and play Through the Bible with J. Vernon McGee 24/7?
Water-board him until he repents?
Tell him he's a stinking heathen and he's going to hell if he doesn't repent and believe the Gospel?
Or just maybe, earn permission to speak because have demonstrated God's love for mankind by your acts of love.
