New, improved, weather report for the day

Sounds like you won't be moving to Alaska...

:toofunny Not even a chance!! Well unless the Lord calls me there! My husband was in the military for 4 years and he was stationed in up state NY, -20, lake effect snow, and all the rest that went with the winters was enough to convince me that I am best in a southern clime!!! Here it MAY snow 2 times a year, when it does we may get an inch, that melts before the day is through. I was not in the least prepared for those kinds of winters. Lil ole southern girl was in for a rude awakening!!!! So as I said, unless God calls me, I'm guna stay right here where it is nice and warm!

Well, no doubt in my mind, anyway...

Sounds like you guys would maybe know Niagara Falls AFB, NY. We go shopping that way sometimes...

Blessings.

Yesterday here in the Dallas Texas area was the hottest day so far this year. 91 degrees. Do Canadians use Farenheit? or Celsius? Today is in the 80's

the conversion for kilometers to miles is one kilometer =.6 mile and the c= 9/5+32 to get the temp in f and its this to go backwards. 5/9-32 to get the temp in c.

Celsius up here. And kilometres.

Interesting. In Brazil they use Celsius and kilometers as well. My wife is from Brazil and we go there almost every summer for 2 months to visit. Actually it almost feels like we live there for 2 months out the year rather than a visit. It is so cool to live in a 3rd world country for a while and then return to the U.S. I could go on but I would be getting off topic. Anyway the weather down in Brazil during June, July and part of August is Winter time, but the temp stays between 60-80F.

Yes, I visited Brazil, too. There's actually a lot of regional variery in weather, from tropical in the Amazon, to Rio Grande do Sul, where, wintertime at least, it can sometimes be a bit cool and damp.

Blessings.

Heard that Brazil can be really a nice place to visit. Place wise and weather wise as well!

Yes, I visited Brazil, too.

Really! Most of my wife's family is from a city called Franca in the state of Sao Paulo. When we go we either stay in Franca or on her parents farm in a nearby tiny city called Ribbiero Corrente.
We already have our tickets and are leaving on July 4th. Some other places we have been are Bahia, Natal, Araguia, Matto Grosso north and south. Did you take a vacation to Brazil?

My recollections are of visiing Rio. Beautiful place. A lot of poverty though, as well.

If the weather were not so good in places like Rio, Copacabana beach would not be so world famous, I guess.

Blessings.

Poverty everywhere yes. The middle class neighborhoods in Brazil look like the projects or govt housing in the U.S. There is no air condition and the sewer/power/water systems are always shutting off for days at a time. With the moderate weather and the way the houses are made it wasn't too uncomfortable living in the house though.

Point taken.

And being in or near the tropics, if it rains around Copacabana beach in Rio, it doesn't particularly matter anyway...

Blessings.

You guys got it good too... (No wonder the Gulf Coast is good for tanning, if this is what people want, anyway; all the stuff about skin cancer aside.)

Yeah too bad I just burn and peel though *sigh*, so lotssss of SPF 50 between May and Sept. for my family. But carrying a bottle of sun screen for those months is just a SMALL price to pay for the nice heat instead of those crazy winters :p!
