But it is just because they "don't get saved". If they who martyred the saints got saved, . . . where is their vengence then? Does it suddenly vanish because god now loves them?

God loves them anyway. Their guilt is removed.

we have one saint that did just that when he was a pharisee. Saul killed the christians till he become one himself.

i'm sure he met those persons when he died.
 
I just realized that we have gone into New Testament stuff and this topic is about the Old Testament.
