What makes your sins forgiven and their sins not?
RepentanceWhat makes your sins forgiven and their sins not?
My thoughts exactly, was about to post it but you beat me to it.Repentance
Repentance is an often misunderstood concept. It is not simply saying, “I’m sorry” to God for what we’ve done. Repentance is having a change of heart, a change of mind, and a change of direction.Repentance
Being in Christ, I do believe we are the children of God, and remain so once we have believed, I wrote the following at this URL link.No not universalism I personally don't believe in the phrase once saved always saved
Careful Eugene! It is a few that might want you to step down from your moderator position after posting this. LolBeing in Christ, I do believe we are the children of God, and remain so once we have believed, I wrote the following at this URL link.
Salvation with Security – 1, 2, 3

This is what it came down for me, not what happens if a person does that. That begs the question then: can someone who has genuinely accepted Christ ever willingly turn their back on Him?
do you believe this
Careless indifference, or downright contempt for the free gift. That's why.the possibility does exist we can reject God as long as we live but why would we
the rebuttal to that not mine is that those people that Jesus were talking to you were not saved in the first place
John 10:27-30 ESV
My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all, and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father's hand. I and the Father are one.”
1 John 5:13 ESV
I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God that you may know that you have eternal life.
John 3:16 ESV
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.
John 5:24 ESV
Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life. He does not come into judgment, but has passed from death to life.
I am very near the end of my journey and I will not turn in these last few days. And should my LORD choose to answer the prayers of some of my friends and my Pastor and give to me, Hezekiah's blessing, I will still, not, turn. The mark of a Saved Man is quite clear and I will demonstrate it!
The wrong question, Willie. The logical question, using the same scripture verses I posted is, was he ever Saved? This point in this discussion is an excellent time for folks asking this to read the entire book of Job... "in all these things Job did not curse God, Job did not sin.A lot of talking... from both camps. But,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, IF you did reach a point (say,,, after five or six of your children were killed in a two year period, or something like that) where you just threw up your hands, and swore to have no more to do with God....... Would He STILL make you come to Heaven to spend Eternity with Him?
Willie,Sorry, this is too weak. In effect, all you are saying is that no one can truly say anyone is saved until a moment after they die.
