Bible Study Only the children will go in--Numbers 14:31

I have often wondered what Jesus', the Messiah, life on earth would have been like if He hadn't died at such an early age. Obviously He had to come to earth, but if Israel hadn't rebelled against God and spread the Gospel to all Gentiles, hmmm.
Jesus certainly knew:
41 When He approached Jerusalem, He saw the city and wept over it, 42 saying, “If you had known in this day, even you, the things which make for peace!" (Luke 19:41-42 NASB italics in original)

And Paul speaks of how if the Jew's rejection of Jesus meant riches for the world, how much more their acceptance of him will be....and by implication, would of have been if they had accepted him then:

12Now if their transgression is riches for the world and their failure is riches for the Gentiles, how much more will their fulfillment be!
15For if their rejection is the reconciliation of the world, what will their acceptance be but life from the dead?
(Romans 11:12,15 NASB italics in original)
