Origin of GOOD and EVIL!

"Free will" is a fantasy that people think they have,
God uses the word "choice".

“Today I set before you life and death, blessing and curse.Choose life, so that you and your children may live—by loving the Lord your God, obeying His voice, and holding fast to Him.” —Deuteronomy 30:19–20

1 Corinthians 11:30:
“That is why many among you are weak and sick, and a number of you have fallen asleep.”
If we follow the commandments of God: Exodus 7 15 "And the LORD will remove from you all sickness".

correct, by definition evil is anything God has nothing to do with. What He is not a part of. God is good, life, health and healing. His is perfect Justice and His scales are perfectly balanced. The Grace of God works the Justice of God in us. We are transformed and we become Just before God. His tender Mercy endures forever.
I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the Lord do all these things. (Isaiah 45:7).

I was going to look into that. The entire book of Job deal with this. So we can look at what the message is for us there. Or I hear people talk about the divine will of God and the permissive will of God. The real question is why does a just God allow injustice.

The quote “You do not really understand something unless you can explain it to your grandmother” is popularly attributed to Albert Einstein. At some point it all breaks down to a simple formula.

I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the Lord do all these things. (Isaiah 45:7).
Yes, that verse can easily be misunderstood. The word translated "evil" in the KJV means evil, not in the sense of sin, but of calamity, trouble, disaster.

Even if it "disaster" (although other scriptures confirm "evil", e.g., see below), are earthquakes and hurricanes killing thousands of people good things?

Out of the mouth of the most High proceedeth not evil and good? (Lamentations 3:38).
