Yes, I disagree with it, for God does not want all men to repent, and all men do follow His sovereign will, even those men who are going to hell..

Are these verses missing from your bible?

2 Pet 3:9
The Lord is not slow about His promise, as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing for any to perish but for all to come to repentance.

Eze 33:11
Say to them, 'As surely as I live, declares the Sovereign LORD, I take no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but rather that they turn from their ways and live. Turn! Turn from your evil ways!

Isa 55:7
Let the wicked forsake his way And the unrighteous man his thoughts; And let him return to the LORD, And He will have compassion on him, And to our God, For He will abundantly pardon.

Eze 18:23
"Do I have any pleasure in the death of the wicked," declares the Lord GOD, "rather than that he should turn from his ways and live?

Acts 3:19
"Therefore repent and return, so that your sins may be wiped away, in order that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord;

1 Tim 2:4
who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.

God desires only the elect to repent..

So you reject these verses and substitute a man made dogma.

Do you think that is wise?

You got a mess there. Some of the verses apply to national Israel and some to the elect..but nevertheless, those whom Jesus christ died for, are perfected forever before God..

It doesn't mean those who are sanctified have always been perfect.
Notice the "AFTER he had offered one sacrifice and sat down on the right hand of God.
That happened at the resurrection.
Hebrews 10:12-14 said:
12But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God; 13From henceforth expecting till his enemies be made his footstool. 14For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified.

Salvation was a plan for MANKIND!

The elect of mankind..

Elect? There is NO doubting from here that The Godhead knew in Eternity who of us would of our own free will choose (Phil. 4:13) Their STRIVING for our surrender of the will.. in OBEDIENCE! But, we do not know except in & by faith! Rom. 4:17 is a good verse for what They can & did do, because They KNOW THE FINISHED ENDING of it all, but we only know [BY FAITH]! (so far) The Heb. verse tel's us the END fact of these ones who had ALL DIED... [IN THE FAITH!] And that is not us, yet! + their is only [ONE FAITH!] (Eph. 4:5) This is fashoned after the Heavenly Zion Church which we could study if one cared enough? :crying PSALMS 77:13

In other words, you don't care what the bible says, you're going to repeat your man made dogma anyway.

Enough said.

It says that those who are sanctified are perfected forever. We will not be perfectly sanctified before death.

Paul makes this EXPLICITLY clear:

Phil 3
12Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already been made perfect, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me.

Believers are washed, sanctified, and justified...
1 Corinthians 6:10-12 said:
Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God. And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God. All things are lawful unto me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but I will not be brought under the power of any.

The born-again believer has eternal life...it is written so that we may know we have eternal life.
1 John 5:12-13 said:
He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life. These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.
We can be assured of our inheritance as we are sealed with the Holy Spirit.
Eph. 1:12-14 said:
That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ. In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise, Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.

1 Cor 9
26Therefore I do not run like a man running aimlessly; I do not fight like a man beating the air. 27No, I beat my body and make it my slave so that after I have preached to others, I myself will not be disqualified for the prize.

2 John 1
6And this is love: that we walk in obedience to his commands. As you have heard from the beginning, his command is that you walk in love.

Eph. 1:12-14 said:

Eph 4
26"In your anger do not sin": Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry, 27and do not give the devil a foothold.

good one, one dogma crusher after another,

Pauls "so that after I have preached to others, I myself will not be disqualified for the prize." already says it all.

the prize is not "additional benefits", the prize is everyting he is talking about previously. Paul says that we will arrive when we get there. Before we get there we can "be disqualified".

"that we walk in obedience to his commands" is talking about His commands. Not ours. He sets us free to hear HIS voice.

The true God is the God who sets people free from bondage. Every false god is a control freak.

"In your anger do not sin": Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry, and do not give the devil a foothold."

Do not be entangled in mens dogmas, especially do not stay there by being tempted to anger. That's giving the devil a foothold.

If you take this verse in context, you will see Paul is referring to his ministry...not his salvation. .

1 John 5:12-13 said:
He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life. These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.

2 John 1
6And this is love: that we walk in obedience to his commands. As you have heard from the beginning, his command is that you walk in love.

Eternal life is not conditional on our own righteousness, but on the righteousness of Christ.

Eph 4
26"In your anger do not sin": Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry, 27and do not give the devil a foothold.

Getting angry does not affect our salvation.[/quote:233odu8u]

Eternal life means ETERNAL.

chester:

It says that those who are sanctified are perfected forever

Correct, and they were sanctified by the offering of christ heb 10:

10By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.

All those whom christ died, God willed that His death sanctified them..

So the verses I post are men's dogmas, but the ones you post...that don't even address salvation.. are not? :confused

None of those refer to salvation....these do, however.
Psalm 37:28 said:
For the LORD loveth judgment, and forsaketh not his saints; they are preserved for ever: but the seed of the wicked shall be cut off.
2 Timothy 4:18 said:
And the Lord shall deliver me from every evil work, and will preserve me unto his heavenly kingdom: to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.
Heb. 13:5 said:
Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.
John 10:28-29 said:
And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand.

Correct, and they were sanctified by the offering of christ heb 10:

10By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.

All those whom christ died, God willed that His death sanctified them..

Sanctification is to be made holy...set apart for God.
It makes holy that which was unholy before.

Therefore being perfected does not mean being perfectly "righteous".
Justification speaks to our guilt and being made righteous.
Sanctification speaks to being made holy and separate from the world.

Just as God's righteousness and holiness are not the same.

glory:

Sanctification is to be made holy...set apart for God.

heb 10: 10By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.

The elect, those whom Jesus christ died for, are sanctified by His offering or death, once and for all..

Jesus died for the sins of the whole world...

Those who are justified by faith in our Lord Jesus Christ are then sanctified, once for all...true.

1 My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous: 2 And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world. (1 Jn.2:1-2)

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. (Jn.3:16)

4 Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth. 5 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; 6 Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time. (1 Tim.2:4-6)

The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, . (2 Pt.3:9)not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance
