Joh 7:24 Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment.
im not immune to gossip and slander, but in this thread im trying to be fair and impartial towards those that I have talked about. I could use google earth to show that the largest church here isn't the catholic one I posted but a 2 million dollar building that has little if any ornate windows and structures and all classrooms are used for the school therein and nursery. they share their sanctuary with two other churches.

Matthew 7:2 NLT says, "For you will be treated as you treat others.[a] The standard you use in judging is the standard by which you will be judged.[b]"

Yup and we will be judged righteously ... because our sins are forgiven and we are saved by the Blood of Jesus ...
Much of out NT is written as a correction to the Church... we still need correction... .

And a righteous judgment is this...Whoever has will be given more, and they will have an abundance. Whoever does not have, even what they have will be taken from them. Matthew 13:12 NIV

Jesus said, "It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God." Matthew 4:4 NKJV
"Anyone who isn't with me opposes me, and anyone who isn't working with me is actually working against me. Matthew 12:30 NLT
And so you continue--posting verses with no explanation. What are you saying?

some times i wonder why when we hear the word 'judge' we automatically think negative.

The Purpose of Parables
10 And the disciples came and said to Him, “Why do You speak to them in parables?”

11 He answered and said to them, “Because it has been given to you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it has not been given. 12 For whoever has, to him more will be given, and he will have abundance; but whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken away from him. 13 Therefore I speak to them in parables, because seeing they do not see, and hearing they do not hear, nor do they understand. 14 And in them the prophecy of Isaiah is fulfilled, which says:

‘Hearing you will hear and shall not understand,
And seeing you will see and not perceive;
15 For the hearts of this people have grown dull.
Their ears are hard of hearing,
And their eyes they have closed,
Lest they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears,
Lest they should understand with their hearts and turn,
So that I should[a] heal them.’[b]

16 But blessed are your eyes for they see, and your ears for they hear; 17 for assuredly, I say to you that many prophets and righteous men desired to see what you see, and did not see it, and to hear what you hear, and did not hear it.

The Parable of the Sower Explained

18 “Therefore hear the parable of the sower: 19 When anyone hears the word of the kingdom, and does not understand it, then the wicked one comes and snatches away what was sown in his heart. This is he who received seed by the wayside. 20 But he who received the seed on stony places, this is he who hears the word and immediately receives it with joy; 21 yet he has no root in himself, but endures only for a while. For when tribulation or persecution arises because of the word, immediately he stumbles. 22 Now he who received seed among the thorns is he who hears the word, and the cares of this world and the deceitfulness of riches choke the word, and he becomes unfruitful. 23 But he who received seed on the good ground is he who hears the word and understands it, who indeed bears fruit and produces: some a hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.” Matthew 13 NKJV

Okay, good for you, you can quote Scripture. Anyone can do that, even an atheist, and so can the devil. Ignoring context, misusing it, and abusing it are the easiest things to do.

I have said a lot. God only allows me to talk to you this way because of your motives. He will not allow you to understand certain things until you totally remove the sin of offense towards iLove.
At this point, I think it worthwhile to point out the hypocritical nature of the above, considering you seem to be so anti-judgmental.

Yes, I kept on the full armor of God - I am strong in the Lord - and I am the righteous of God in Christ Jesus. Again, "It is written: 'Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.'" Question who was Jesus talking to?

Joh 7:24 Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment.

we are to judge things people and teachings.. but do so righteously

Yes amen we are to judge what "WE" as believers "ALLOW" to come into our hearts.
However when you start nit picking and saying things against a fellow Christian it becomes judgment of another kind...

God Teaches us to walk in Love and Forgivness,,,,,correct ?
Ranting on about some ones faults is nothing close to walking in Love and Forgivness,,,,
Can you see where I am going with this........?

We have the right to judge what is GOOD in OUR lives or hearts.........We do not have the right to tear people down in judgment no matter what.......... As to scriptures........you have been posting them all along...

And Jesse, lol yea even though you say it is hear say and you have no idea if it is true or not it is still gossip.
Hint brother.....you amitted it was hear say and you have no truth to it....... Now if it was pertainig to something like this.....Hey heard that z-mart was going to buy that building and have no proof, that is NOT gossip....

That's a good point, maybe some people need to hear more of the fire and brimstone, while others need a more balanced approach.

We all didn't get saved the same way, God used many different methods to draw us to Himself and it's the same with Pastors. I would personally NOT listen to anyone who preached the prosperity gospel, not all believers will be rich with money.

Jesse Howdy,
Hey on your first part of this quote ...I agree because Since God being our creator, I do beleive the creator would know how to talk or reach the created.......:agreed

The second part of the Quote about Prosperity...........It's so ver clear that you have not studied anything in this area or rather willing to listen,,,,,,,,Not slamming you at all......See True biblical Prosperity is not simply riches or money. It is only a small part of it......Think of a pizza, many slices, so it is with biblicasl prosperity, finances is only but one slice.....Prospering in your health, relationships, mentally, spiritually and so forth....It's all in the word of God bro.....Perhaps you might find time some day to check it out....:amen

Odd Fish Catcher Jim i read as judging my words ... strange huh?

Not sure what you mean here, I was agreeing with your post and added thoughts to what else I had seen going on baqck and forth...Was this a wrong way about it? I thought I could just combine thoghts of several post that had going back and forth.....Is this wrong ? I ask because the YOU in the part of posting scriptures is NOT directed to you or your post....I quoted yours because it was towards the end and I liked it....
The YOU in my post was to all the members who were going back and forth about the same scriptures.......
Sorry if i messed up in the way I posted....

This is exactly what my post implied, if you would go back and read it, it's just that I didn't want to take this thread OT. The prosperity gospel is taught that everyone should be rich with money - this is a false gospel. I was just assuming that most people would know this didn't mean we wouldn't be rich in other areas because most people know what the prosperity gospel means.
Otherwise, I agree, of course God blesses us "richly" in other areas.

For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. - Romans 8:6

If you were given the choice between life and death, which would you choose? The answer seems obvious. But, in reality, it's not.

You see, choosing death doesn't necessarily mean jumping from the nearest cliff. It's much more subtle than that.

The Bible says death is being carnally minded, being entangled in this present worldly realm. The Bible also tells us what life is; "My son, attend to my words," says Proverbs 4:20-22, "...for they are life!"

To be worldly-minded is death. To be Word-minded is life.

Fish Catcher Jim Learning about a person through writing styles when all we have are cold words on a bright screen takes a while... it takes some time to catch the nuances .. we will get there...

I guess that it depends on the teacher because for the most part, the so called prosperity messages have been very well balanced that I have read or heard. Now I have a question for you, do you feel that we as christians are not to be wealthy? OBTW I think I did read your whole post....Uh I am sure I did, well I think so any way.....Need Caffine !!:coffee
