[__ Prayer __] Really need a prayer.

I empathize with you, Marianne. Just three weeks ago we had to have the vet help our Yellow Lab we’ve had as part of our family for 15 years slip peacefully away. Heart-broken is exactly what we felt..
May he rest in peace and I believe all pets go to Heaven. So he is with the birdies and butterflies somewhere on the rainbow right now and with the Lord of course.

We always think of past animals with love. They are such a big part of us and we never forget them. What a precious gift from God they are.
How is Lucy now Marianne333
Thank you for your concern Tessa, it means a lot. Lucy seems to be fine, I did not see her cough again. But I am still worried. Will keep observing her. Really hoping that cough was nothing, on the other hand by the time she coughs more it may be too late. Go figure, but I am really hoping for the best.

Sorry I found this late, but praise the Lord for answered prayer for your fur-baby feeling better. Praying she is completely healed and lives a long healthy life. My husband and I have a three year old Grey Tabby named Daisy Mae and she is our heart and brings so much joy.

Thank you so much for the prayer. Mine is a tabby too. I tried posting a picture here, but for some reason it won't let me. Thanks again and may your Daisy bring you much joy every day and for many more years.

So we got the blood test results. She has elevated levels of thyroid hormons and elevated liver enzyme. The doctor prescribed medication and we will need another round of blood tests after she is on the med for about a month. And she has a nodule on her thyroid gland. I looked online and read that this type of problem is rarely cancer but it could happen. The doc seems to think that the meds will take care of the problem. I believe and pray that indeed NO cancer and the meds to work. Once again thank you so much for all your prayers. Besides the help of the prayers for Lucy it is a testimony that there are still nice, caring people in the world.

The vet sounds very hopeful that it will clear. Glad he found out exactly what is wrong. Poor Lucy but she should start feeling better once the meds kick in. Are they pills? If so is Lucy good at taking them?
Still praying thoign.

Thank you so much. They are pills but they are very small so we hope she will take it ok. The side effects are not so nice so we will have to weigh the benefits vs the side effects. Thank you once again for all your prayers.

Hi all,
thanks again so much for all the prayers. Lucy was ok for a few days after visiting the vet. But then she started itching and scratching severely to the point that she has bald spots in her hair. We thought maybe she got fleas from some other cat at the vet but upon examining there were no fleas or other bugs. Maybe it's an allergic reaction to something. She also seems to have difficulty swallowing and wouldn't eat and is just miserable. A few days ago she started scratching less and started eating a little but now she seems to start scratching severely again. Just now she ate some soft food that I gave her. At least I know she is not hungry. Prayers are much, much appreciated. Thanks so much.

My parents had a little house dog with skin problems. The vets office sold some kind of cortisone liquid that my parents would apply to the dog but not too often. I forget the exact details but I think overuse damages the skin somehow. Something like that anyway.

There are so many things that could be Marianne. If it doesn't clear up soon would take her to the vet. Poor little Lucy she is having a bad time. Praying she will recover soon.

Thank you for your advice. We thought of applying some sort of cream or ointment. The problem is she is going to lick it off and it may hurt her even more. But I will definitely look further into it.

All through the day I keep praying - "She will live and not die" "God is restoring health unto her" and many other verses from the Bible. We haven't even started her on the medication which has side effects of its own. All your prayers are highly appreciated.
