One only gets confused when they don't understand scripture correctly. A correct reading of scripture will not result in the mixing of law and grace. There is only one gospel throughout scripture. The troubling idea that there is a separate gospel for a separate people is exactly the kind of perverted false teaching that frustrated Paul while dealing with the Galatians.
Gal 1:6 ¶ I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel:
Gal 1:7 - Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ.
Gal 1:8 - But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.
Gal 1:9 - As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.
Gal 1:10 - For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ.
Do you believe Peter viewed the cross as full of shame and guilt? Peter clearly preaches salvation by the blood of Christ.
1Pe 1:17 - And if ye call on the Father, who without respect of persons judgeth according to every man's work, pass the time of your sojourning here in fear:
1Pe 1:18 - Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers;
1Pe 1:19 - But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:
1Pe 1:20 - Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you,
1Pe 1:21 - Who by him do believe in God, that raised him up from the dead, and gave him glory; that your faith and hope might be in God.

In the book of Acts, when did Peter begin to preach, " Who so ever believeth in him shall receive remission of sins" and not preach repent and be baptized for the remission of sins? Was on Pentecost? Was it in chapter 3, when the lame man was healed? Peter was still preaching the indictment of murder (verse 15). It was in chapter 10 when he preached to Cornelius; verse 43 " To whom all the prophets witness, that through his name whosoever believeth in him shall receive remission of sins." Not repent and be baptized for the remission of sins.
