God has worked through many that are of faith throughout the scriptures, but this does not elevate them as being part of the Godhead, but only faithful servants just like the lowly of His handmaiden as she was blessed above other women because she was chosen of God as He found favor in Her choosing her to birth the Christ child.

I have come to the conclusion that there is no purpose in discussing Mary with Catholics. They cannot accept what the Bible plainly says but have to invent all this false doctrine. The only reason that I can think of for this persistent error is that there is an extra-Biblical need to transfer certain qualities of earthly mothers -- no intercourse(!), raising perfect children, being a devoted, submissive person, and never being anything but exactly what a man wants her to be. This has given rise to marianismo, artificially elevating womanhood to a status that is impossible for any person to meet. When the woman fails to meet this impossible standard then she is in for tremendous criticism by her macho husband. Or worse.

The RCC perpetuates this dogma, even though it is obviously unscriptural. It's a form of absolute control by a totally male-dominated church. It is totally at odds with the truths of the Bible; it is the tragic invention of men who seek to dominate women by subjecting them to a standard that is impossible to meet.

Biblical Mary was a teenager who was chosen by God to give birth to Jesus and to raise Him (and His siblings) to adolescence. Nothing more.

She is not, never was, and never will be the "queen of heaven", standing behind Jesus as a controlling mother, telling Him what to do and directing Him to give special treatment to those who ask her (not Him). Perhaps that's the person Catholics want her to be, but it is clearly unscriptural!

Does anyone ever wonder why Joseph isn't exalted to be some sort of glorified father? After all, he behaved admirably toward Mary, saved her and Jesus by taking them to Egypt to escape Herod and raised Jesus as his own son even though he wasn't his natural father.

The whole myth is just bizarre, invented and perpetuated by men to put women in a fictitious position that is impossible to meet.
