I didn't realize it was a package deal.

Is the community center still in use?
Yes,it's been several things. During ww2 the navy used it and added to it.it became the Uso.afterwards it retained that kiddie pool until 1956,and became a teen hangout .it had two names then I will have too look up.it became up to late 90s the physical arts center.ironically the city built a community center just north of this in 64 and it does what this place did.the heritage center has a kitchen and museum.the citrus museum is there and I have been there for city Christmas parties and employee retirement functions.
 
Back in those days of the 60's, it seems as though a lot of communities had extra money to build.

Oh the county blows alot .some don't like the city but really as far fruglaity the city is way better.I could derail this into another political rant.I will post the article

It would be nice if, in some cases, the city council/commissioners/board members/etc would keep an eye on a balanced budget. (Same goes to state and federal as well!)
