Yes,circa 1940.a photo I copied from face book.i.must be photographing that place right as you knew it.yet nada on the Big Blue images. The Driftwood?
I'm not worried.Great pictures of the plant (Those storm clouds don't look so friendly, though. Praying your area doesn't suffer from the approaching storms)

I have some stories about her to share and the diesel plant.
First,The plant will be here fir some time until they can power the switching station can be houses seperately.Second the plant will after that be razed and only the foundation left.so making it nothing but useless piece of land.Third,Fpl was often asking it's percentage of power from Vero in those days when I mentioned it ran 24 /7.10 mwh of power is what is produced.Fpl also wants to cut the ties to Vero and not send power up north.imagine that.Fourth ,the plant went online in 1961 and the diesel plant was retired after they put in unit 5 as all plants must have a black out starting system. The diesel plant saved the eastern sea board!it added power to big blue whuh then could add more power and so on until the entire eastern sea board was powered up again.finally the fishhouse has an easement still owned by the family.Yes,circa 1940.a photo I copied from face book.i.must be photographing that place right as you knew it.yet nada on the Big Blue images.

a plant employee who I talked to for about 30 minutes gave me that info. oh this will bite the system when it goes away.Wow! That's a lot of additional information!
Thanks!

There's more, the fighting over the new plant way out west.
Ouc is producing power for us.about the time I started with city Big Blue was idled per a deal with fmpa .The employee was a good reference source!
What are the plans for replacing the power currently produced?
Fpl is building more plants to prepare for growth and to power down old plants. It's in Osceola county. Basically big blue would be a good use for that as both are cng plants.go figure. That's really sad.
Forget about the people who need the electricity.
Giving that size it wouldNT suprise me if like Fpua ,Vero runs a plant for either Fmpa or Ouc.cocoa is about 40 minutes east of Orlando.Oh, that's right. I recall one of the articles you linked in the past concerning OUC.
This may sound elitist, but the mess is in part from ignorant politicians and voters .Neither run the grid or know this stuff. The more I meet these guys the more I know. What a mess it all is.
It would be nice if some sanity was added to the drinking water for a while!
