The lived in the home in the grassy area first then after ww1 finished the brick home and moved in.

The upper school is in St lucie county but Is part of Oslo history and Ruth Hallstrom taught there.

That style of brick home is rather prevalent in Illinois. There was one I almost bought to restore... unfortunately, a previous owner tried to do some work on it, and had basically ruined the bones of the structure. One just cannot take out load-bearing walls and think the structure will remain sound. So sad.
