I'm glad the effort has been made to improve it. I really do find it sad when buildings become derelict.

With all the trash being hauled to landfills, I've thought it would make more sense to build trash burning plants. Scrubbers are more advanced nowadays to prevent pollution.

Plano, Texas has such a facility, and it's both clean and efficient.

And they have an excellent recycling program. And they compost garbage. The site is pretty smelly, but has the best soil you can find anywhere. Plano residents can just drive up, show ID and help themselves to the finished compost.

,my county dump can produce power via methane. Ft Meyers uses plasma arc to burn trash to heat steam.

I figured you read this thread.

Compost should have a rich loamy aroma when 'cooked' properly. And when composting is done on a large scale, I can only imagine how potent the site would be!

Plano offers much to be commended :thumbsup

500 at the max.it's not far.I may photo that place.

A friend of mine decided to attend one of her rallies out East.... said there were about 100 people in a space that could, by decision of the fire marshall, hold 600. Many of the people in attendance were campaign workers. My friend said that 7 different campaign workers approached with requests for donations and to get my friend to volunteer to make phone calls, send texts & tweets & emails to support Mrs Clinton.

My friend is but another Dem who will not be voting for the Dem's candidate this year.

Bud Holman is mentioned several times with his connection to the Dodgers in one of the baseball history books I have (and happened to re-read not all that long ago).
His grandson works for the city.bud Holman did as well.
