Route pics

i was six when they took that. i know this base well. i spent a lot of time going to it. i have a few stories about it

Stories? Do tell!
Military wise I flew to Puerto Rico out of this base.it also went to threat condition delta plus after 9 11.the road east and going north and south is a1a.thar base closed it off.I wetNT there for a few times after.I also remember woeking on my oil pan gasket here and it still leaking and drove home with it leaking.I live 55 miles away.I spent a lot of time with my wife here as well.even a few times with jaci

Yes, I'd say you definitely have some fascinating stories about it!

I'm not sure I would want to drive 55 miles with a leaking oil pan gasket. Then again, if I knew it wasn't much of a leak and would be able to make the drive without serious problem.......... Nah, I would have been concerned about it all the time I was on the road.

Speaking of Jaci .... any updates?

Nice fence :thumbsup

The area looks fairly clean & tended in the photo. No security gates on doors or windows either.

Theres a gas station to the south that is abandoned. the motel isn't acessable . it has an entrance on the west side .the photo is of that service station I side I could park at aND walk out the area.

it hasn't even been a year an yes the fate will be the same as my avatar was. this last one is from the storm. the blue aluminum is on the ground by the transformer.

First off mr.Hyde is a cancer survivor.you have seen him.before.he lives in mcansch park and at about 9pm .he played the pipes all the way walking to Tony Young's home.the home itself is interesting and needs to be on a historical registery.it's that interestingView attachment 10336 View attachment 10337

Great pictures of the plant. Sad....but still great pictures.

Looks like it's party time at Tony's!

What a tribute, to have a piper walk to Tony's home like that. That is truly special!
