Route pics

the Gifford middle school is the former segregated high school. it has a plaque honoring a person from that time.

the other is where the older Gifford middle school was and that was a segregated k-6 school if I remember.

Seriously, someone lives in that old house, in that condition? I just don't understand how that can be allowed to happen in such an influential area of the US. Maybe the people who live there just don't want any help.

I will ask, I know a few folks. keep in mind that home sat for some time with the meter turned off before it was used. i'm assuming that its use because the meter shows usage albeit small(368 kw this month) which is really low given not much of insulation.

Amazing photos, jasonc !

My fav of these current shots: the water tower. Quite stunning!
old, I think that was built in the late 50's one of four that I remember that all lined up near us1. the vero beach one, the wabasso one, Sebastian one, the Gifford one(shown). all identical with their towns on the side of them. only this one remains. its still used. I heard the pump for it running when I read the meter.

The clarity and contrast in the water tower photo was excellent. Details showed up quite nicely. You did a great job on taking that photo!
