I live in a boring area.
I was at Gifford middle seven(seventh grade) when that happened. i have posted pics of that school. it was unchanged from the days of segregation. its not so easily made out. i know the old section as i have to walk that to get a read but that is it. anyway. i remember seeing the after math as i was in the cafeteria when we were told.We were watching that launch on television... the cameras were doing a fine job of filming. Then we all sat in horrified silence after we realized that the explosion which filled the screen wasn't supposed to happen.
i think 9-11-01 was more shocking. i do remember January, 28th, 1986 well but not as well as 9-11-01The event was certainly one of those shocking moments that remain with us.
the pilots were trained in my townI lost a friend in New York on 9-11-01. I won't be forgetting that day ever.

that is one already i have posted. i shall filter the cenotaph ones i took. perhaps only one i can use with his story and park. its not far, well i drive around its triangle shape daily. the bag pipe player is micheal hyde. he is irish. he plays amazing grace. its hard for me to be near that. today was honoring the Korean war vets at veterans island. so i took pics.I look forward to seeing the new pics
