That's really sad about the houses. Really sad.
Ten acre lot,wanting 1.2 million
The home on that Google Earth image isn't able to be saved ,it could but it's just as easier to raze it.hurricane insurance makes that the case.most of wiring is gone ,the ac unit.etc.getting it up to code as well.it was a beautiful home.large garage.

To rehab the home would more likely be more than the 1.2 million originally asked. Someone will probably grab up the land, tear down the house, and build new.

Suggested a ten home subdivision.I was able to see the roof from that road to the west.that is how I noticed it.so I used Google Earth to swe it.then I took my old ranger with my wife and explored the home.homeless people live in it.there is another not on the city grid that is like that.just as old.

The cloud formation is stunning!

Let's hope that water tower doesn't explode. Two million gallons would do some serious damage.
Lol.the gifford one is taller and older.that towere shown is about 30 years old verse 60.

How frequently do they check the structural safety and security of the towers?

this one. they have a crane inside it. I have seen them twice in two years but I know its more then that.

That's good to know. With the ages of the water towers, build-up and/or weaknesses can add stress to the structures. Wouldn't want one to burst!

the ww2 ones that I have posted, imagine those not being checked

Grief! That would be downright unnerving to live around a water tower from the WW2 era that doesn't undergo frequent checks!

that was at the base I was at. nothing really by them save the barracks but its even about a half mile east.

Meant to ask earlier: Did you have an informative time while at that base?
for history? I talk to them on fb. verification of the incinerator , a few other things that the civilians aren't allowek to see.

man, the phone boxes, those ole ww2 ones were still in use at one time. plenty of those still on the towers. prolly still useable. one range control would know
