[__ Prayer __] sebastian, the house dog (again)

ugh. this is rough. in about 1 hour, dad will come home, grab sebastian, and take him over to the vet...and that will be the end of his days amongst the living. mama's barely able to contain her tears. her eyes were moist and slightly red.

sebastian has to be lifted up onto the couch. he also had to be carried out into the yard to use the bathroom, and carried back into the back door. i did both, and I"m glad I did. I told him I love him, I petted him, and...

this is it, isn't it?

I have stated this before but I really don't think it is. You know Jesus and I know for a fact that Jesus isn't a cruel and heartless person. If He was, He wouldn't have died for us when we were so unworthy of it. Don't you remember when I posted you that video of the Rainbow Bridge? I believe very strongly that you and I will see our four legged friends again someday, and besides that,..they will always live in our hearts forever. :hug

The ride that took forever,I remember that with Cheyenne aND the wait .Cheyenne wanted to go on thar ride. She loved rides.bella loves those even more.

He's 12, 13 years old. He was severely abused before my parents took him in. They've given him a good, comfortable life. And now...

well, he's blind. He's deaf. He's incontinent. He may have a number of major health problems going on. Mama says she and my dad have decided its time to have him put to sleep. :-(

I feel badly for him, but then I remind myself of the good life he's had here, with my parents and me, over the years. And...I understand my parents' desire to have him put to sleep, so he won't linger on, suffering, not understanding what's going on.

"Life isn't fair sometimes." One of those painfully truthful cliches, I guess. I ask that you pray for my parents, who have taken care of Sebastian all these years. I'm beginning to suspect that watching his rapid decline has triggered thoughts of their own mortality, which...may be one reason they've decided to go for the euthanasia. I don't know.

OK. Thanks. :)
Hi empowered, My boy, 48 years old Just lost His dog he raised from a pup. He wept, It hurts, Pets are more loyal then some people, and you will always remember them. God made them on the sixth day...and said that, He saw that it was very good. And then He made man and gave them to him. God loved His creation. When the Law of sacrifice foreshadowing Christ death for our transgressions, it was suppose to be a solemn and sad event to take the innocent life of docile animal, and it is, even to me this day, thinking of those sacrifices of innocent animals pointing to Christ. But with man, it eventually became just a yearly ritual. God will judge man on how he has treated His creation....even in nature. But animals feel physical pain and emotional heartbreaks, they love us too. It is better to let him leave without suffering....sad as it is.
I love God's creation.
In His Mercy and Grace from everlasting to everlasting.

So sorry :hug it's a very hard day for you all. But there is much love there as well as sadness.

hey, tessa...

there really is a lot of love. the girl dog was picking on sebastian, because he was so sick. pack animal mentality....what is one to do?
