Yeah....I went thru this confused phase myself for a month or so. Then I decided to learn some facts :yes
Pretty much every bible version out there is just as condemning as the KJV, poster....I mean, since thats what you seem to be basing your discernment on.
.
That's not what this is about. Even Islam is condemning. Satan himself is condemning.
follower of Christ said:
Theres also a lot of KJVonly propaganda.
God doesnt speak Ye Kings Olde Englishe, Im afraid.
What are you afraid of? Is it the truth? Are you afraid of the truth that satan has craftily replaced the true Word of God with his perversion of it? Are you afraid that if you found that to be true that you might have to actually make a move instead of relying on your apathy to guide you?

What a hoot.
Contrary to your lack of knowledge here, there WERE english bibles prior to the KJV.
Contrary to your lack of knowledge, I knew that already.
follower of Christ said:
.and your precious translators used some of those bibles for their own translation work.
What do you know? I knew that too.
follower of Christ said:
I agree that folks here should learn the truth...and when they learn it they'll find out that a group of UNINSPIRED, godly men used resources to translate yet one more english bible that has its own problems just like they all do.
That's not the truth at all. Keep trying though and you'll get it.
follower of Christ said:
Some simply prefer to idolize a translation.
There it is. It's that tired old idiotic argument that you all use. Of course by you all I mean all of you Westcott and Hort only people. Not one of you has any originality.
follower of Christ said:
No, you were duped just as I was by some preacher who convinced you that the KJV is more than it is.
No offense intended.
Actually there wasn't a preacher in sight. What do you know?
follower of Christ said:
Of course you were.
And my guess is that youve studied just what you wanted to hear after the fact instead of actually trying to understand the facts from both sides.
And your guess would be incorrect.
follower of Christ said:
They got me to for a spell. I even went out and spent a decent amount of money buying that ridiculous 1611 version....the real one that is completely unreadable.
I'm sorry but those are words that can be read at a low grade level. You with the simplicity of the phonics and all. Of course some words are hard and you will need a dictionary but that's the case with all so called bibles.
follower of Christ said:
What a joke that I fell for thinking that Gods word is trapped in such a horrid bunch of words.
Yeah if you say so. But it isn't a joke. Maybe you just don't have any endurance in you.
follower of Christ said:
That all said, you DO realize that you DONT use the actual version you claim, right ?
Just like the NEWKJV is updated, your precious KJV has been updated a few times from the original until the mid 1700's. ;)
Do you know the difference between a revision and an edition? I doubt if you do. And the Apocrypha was only included for historical reference in the 1611. No one ever claimed it to be actual scripture worthy of instruction.
follower of Christ said:
NO one ever mentioned a single word and you never read anything about the KJV or the TR, huh ?
Yup. Not until as recent as the past few years. I didn't even know a revision existed until I was in my late twenties, but when I found out about it I knew it was counterfiet. I am thirty nine now and only looked into this a few years ago.
follower of Christ said:
You just one day came up with the idea that the KJV was 'Gods word' all by yourself and that all over versions with the devils work, right ....
No that's not right. One of the very first things I read from the Bible was in Revelations. I was only like 10 yrs old or maybe a bit younger. I didn't walk away with much wisdom that day but I had garnred something that would shape my faith tremendously. I understood these Words to be truth and they did impact me even then.
Re:22:17: And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.
Re:22:18: For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:
Re:22:19: And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.
Re:22:20: He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus.
A huge impact was made on my little mind. The Holy Ghost? Of course it was. He wouldn't have left me alone in my struggle to understand. How else would I have known that these other bibles are lies?
follower of Christ said:
not one single thing said a word to influence you....is that what Im supposed to believe?
Nope. The Holy Ghost filled me with Words. No man taught me until I sought after the knowledge of others. But I have checked the scriptures to be sure I am getting the truth.
follower of Christ said:
Are you sticking to that story ?
Yup.
