1. When man dies, the spirit shall return to God who gave it. ( they are dead and know nothing, the memory of them is forgotten, all they were is perished.

2. But as touching on the resurrection of the dead, God is the God of Abraham and the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob, He is the God of the living. ( these live unto Him and did not perish.)

Ecclesiastes 9:5 For the living know that they shall die: but the dead know not any thing, neither have they any more a reward; for the memory of them is forgotten.
6 Also their love, and their hatred, and their envy, is now perished; neither have they any more a portion for ever in any thing that is done under the sun.

Ecclesiastes 12:7 Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it.

Matthew 22:31 But as touching the resurrection of the dead, have ye not read that which was spoken unto you by God, saying,
32 I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob? God is not the God of the dead, but of the living.
33 And when the multitude heard this, they were astonished at his doctrine.

3. Jesus told Martha ( about the resurrection before she considered it to be) that Jesus Christ is the resurrection and the life, and we live.

4. There shall be a resurrection ( of the dead, to the resurrection of life) both of the just and the unjust.

5. We are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if the Spirit of God dwells in us. If the Spirit of God is in us, God quickens our mortal bodies by His Spirit that dwells in us. If we live after the Spirit we shall live ( Gods Spirit quickens our mortal body) but if we live after the flesh we shall die. ( as God had not quickened our mortal body by His Spirit to dwell in us, for us to live/ be quickened together with Christ.) 1 Corinthians 15:45. Ephesians 2:5. 1 Peter 3:18.)

John 11:25 Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:

Acts 24:15 And have hope toward God, which they themselves also allow, that there shall be a resurrection of the dead, both of the just and unjust.

Romans 8:9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.
10 And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.
11 But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.
12 Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh.
13 For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.

6. Some say there is no resurrection of the dead, even though Christ is preached that He rose ( He is the resurrection of the dead.) The resurrection of the dead is being raised/born again of incorruptible seed, which lives and abides for ever. ( 1 Peter 1:23.) and by Jesus Christ came ( present tense) the resurrection of the dead.

1 Corinthians 15:12 Now if Christ be preached that he rose from the dead, how say some among you that there is no resurrection of the dead?

1 Corinthians 15:42 So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption; it is raised in incorruption:

1 Corinthians 15:21 For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead.

7. That we can know Christ, through the power of His resurrection, to attain to the resurrection of the dead ( Jesus Christ is the resurrection of the dead, and is the resurrection of life.) The resurrection of both the just and the unjust, is Christ suffering for sins, ( THE JUST FOR THE UNJUST.) to bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit.

Philippians 3:10 That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death;
11 If by any means I might attain unto the resurrection of the dead.

1 Peter 3:18 For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:

Christ was put to death, the just for the unjust ( the resurrection of the dead, both the just and the unjust, IS JESUS CHRIST THE JUST, FOR THE UNJUST, SO WE ARE ALL QUICKENED TOGETHER IN CHRIST, this is the RESURRECTION OF BOTH THE JUST AND THE UNJUST.) 1 Corinthians 15:45. Ephesians 2:5. Colossians 2;13.

Acts 24:15 And have hope toward God, which they themselves also allow, that there shall be a resurrection of the dead, both of the just and unjust.

1 Peter 3:18 For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:
