I think women can do important stuff in the church, but I don't know about full on pastor. Joyce Myer's ministry is what I'd call "para-church," you know? Outside church, to supplement it. One reason I think Paul had issues with women preaching is that men naturally are more aggressive+assertive than women, and having a female pastor might make the church leadership less respected, with more conflict.
Kind of like...I think Paul said women are to submit to their husbands because that's usually how things work out anyway. Christians weren't trying to turn women in door mats; they were trying to set reasonable ground rules for behavior and actually gave women more status, both in marriage and in the church, than they had in the surrounding culture. Christians from the od school recognize men and women as different (complementary), but equal. Christian equality isn't about same-ness and erasing gender differences; rather, its about creating an environment in which both sexes can contribute, taking into account the features of maleness and femaleness.
Kind of a ramble, but...yeah. That's what I think.
