Should Women Preach ?

It's not a matter of liking or disliking her. She is, as others say, in rebellion. If someone is in rebellion, so is everyone that follows them.
.
Well bro that's your opinion' she is not in rebellion and that's my opinion.

See the conflict?

First you say this.

I don't agree with your statement that men give her authority. What they do is add to her rebellion! Shame on those weak Kneed so called men who don't abide by Scripture. They are as guilty as Mrs. Meyer is, of rebellion. The Scripture is God's Word on the subject and men attending her conferences don't change it one bit. If a man wants to learn from Joyce, they should buy the book on the subject.

You say she is in rebellion and not abiding by the scriptures.

And then you say this.

I agree with you Claudya that no man is forced to go. There are way to many men who do not know the Scriptures as well as their wives do. I absolutely like what Joyce teaches, she is one of, if not the best woman teacher there is today. God bless her, just go back to refusing men to attend.

If she's not abiding by the scriptures, how can you say she's one of the best woman teachers?

Is this correct?
What you are effectively saying is that any woman who teaches about God and writes a book teaching about God, because a man chooses to read that book, she is in rebellion and so is he.

Careful Gaz he's got a basement full of guns !

I'm not worried. I'm a part time ninja.

Yeah I agree with what you say. I don't have an example because I don't know if your Husband has any dodgy doctrine :biggrin ok you mean hypothetically ?

Yes hypothetically...anything that you can think of. I don't mind challenging my own understanding or view point.

If a male pastor was trying to 'usurp' the authority that my husband has over me, I'd tell him to go jump off a bridge. His authority as a pastor is not the same thing as my husband has.
:thumbsup
My unsaved husband is my covering...

This is what the bible states: " And I do not permit a woman to teach or to have authority over a man, but to be in silence."

Any female pastor that has males in her congregation is not abiding by the scriptures. It doesn't matter how popular they are. Sin is sin and there is no partiality with God. Jesus said that not everyone who says to Me, Lord, Lord, shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. Circumventing scripture is not the will of God.

Wait a minute Gary... if it is rebellion for her to teach isn't rebellion for men to learn or set under her teaching.... Are they not just like Adam? He blamed eve...

Sorry Lewis W it this is a sorta hypothetical question :couch

OK Gary.

1Co 11:10 KJV For this cause ought the woman to have power on her head because of the angels.

Yeah them pesky sinning Angels again eh :biggrin

They aren't allowed to usurp our husband's authority either. :hips
