School starts on the 20th, but I do not have my first class until the 24th. Taking a full 18 credit load, but my classes are on the easy side.

Drawing 1
English Technical Writing
Film Study
Intro. to Sociology (Not my intro though, I took sociology in H.S.)
Intro. to Psychology

The last two classes are online classes.

that is a veritech fighter also known as an alpha fighter from the show called robotech, which was produced by carl macek , who also produced the original Gundam in the 70's.

Robotech... I didn't expect that. I obviously need to catch up on my '70s and '80s robot anime/cartoons. :nod

I have to take an art course too, and will be taking drawing eventually as well. I love art. :)

It seems we are taking Intro to Psych at the same time. How neat. What book will you be using?

This is the one I'll be using: Amazon.com: Psychological Science (Third Edition) (9780393934212): Michael S. Gazzaniga, Todd F. Heatherton, Diane F. Halpern: Books

unless you were around then, you wouldnt know about it, as its still hard to get even on dvd, but you can watch all three generations on hulu.com

first robotech war(macross)
second robotech war(masters)
third robotech war(new generation) and my favorite.

and since we are talking about underage dating this one is alittle wierd about that as the main charachter rick hunter in the macross series is 17 and his wanna be gf is 15. but his age insnt mentioned you have to know that from the comics.
as you know with sailor moon overseas the japs are wierd about that.

17 and 15 isn't much of an age disparity. I wouldn't worry about.

true but you dont know that TILL you read the comics his age is never mentioned at all .

you assume adult as he starts of in the first episode visiting the sdf-1 with his own aircraft and talking to his brother about the loads of flying circus that he won

at first glance one assumes that he must be at least 30 as his bro is that age.

Okay, that's creepy. :o

most anime are like that when you get away from the american censors.

the version i'm watching wasnt censored too much so far( i have watched reruns so much that i can vividly recall alot) on a side note its interesting when i look at the battles from a soldier pov.

or better yet when i watched exosquad.

be this is best for another topic and forum.

That's because Japan promotes a culture of paedophilia. In certain areas, you can buy sexual services from prostitutes as young as 13. :sad

I am finishing my senior year, but have one more to go, since I started out in television and radio production, and switched to political science (with a concentration in international relations) and sociology. I'm taking the standard five-course load also:

Introduction to Sociology
Global Inequalities (with a Marxist professor :biggrin)
Modern Political Thought (Locke, Hobbes, Marx, Rawls and all those great modern thinkers)
American Foreign Policy
Post-Communism (comparative post-Soviet eastern European politics)

Wow, lots of work there I forsee. Just do yourself a favor and don't drink any koolaid the professors may want to give you, no matter what the flavor. Though I respected my sociology professor that I took the "Sociology of Terrorism" class from (which I learned a great deal from) I certainly had some points of disagreement with him (most of which I kept to myself) and just decided not to accept, the least of which was his outsider view on Christianity in society - but I digress. I remember being disillusioned with his own portrayal of Christians (though I spoke up to try to correct it) in class one day, and later it so happened that a fellow classmate came to me afterward and said, "I don't think he was very fair in the way he portrayed Christian beliefs in there", which actually relieved me because I thought I was the only one. Anyway, just here to say "Stay away from the koolaid.... especially marxist koolaid." Also beware of strictly anti-american rhetoric/themes in classes (one-sided perspectives). Yes America has abuses like any other country, but it has become political sport of late to blame everything on the USA.

Chemistry 101 (General Chem)
English 103-Honors (Critical Thinking/Writing)
Math 105-Honors (College Algebra)

Only 13 units, but I think that'll be enough. I did 18 units last semester and made out with all As.... but that is an experience I don't really want to have again. :lol

What college do you go to?
