I know Him, Jerry.

I have learned, just like everyone including Paul, who is born again with a new nature empowered by the Spirit, yet continues to battle with the lustful cravings of a physical body that contains sin, that in order to live a life in dominion over it we must do some things, we must invest some time and effort into our new spiritual life and learn to obey the Spirit within us, just like any child must grow and mature and learn to obey their father and mother, or receive correction.

God does not expect as much from a new baby Christian as He does from an adult.


Paul says it this way —


Flee also youthful lusts; but pursue righteousness, faith, love, peace with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart.
2 Timothy 2:22


Again, Jerry, why would a born again Christ want to continue a life of disobedience to the Lord?

The faith that is given by the Spirit never fails...

The question is not whether or not the faith God gives will fail. The testimony of the Spirit sent into the world to convince men of the truth and give them the faith to trust in him is not what fails. The question lies in whether or not you're going to respond with believing when God gives you the faith to believe, and whether or not you're going to hold on to that faith and believe to the very end.

Please excuse my intrusion here, but Man! This question here? I could almost swear that I have heard it before, somewhere ........Upon reflection , I think this is the SAME question that the Philippian Jailer asked of Paul and Silas..... “ Sirs, what must I do to be Saved ?” What was the response? “ Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be Saved”
Did we miss something in there? Believe and Repent Of all of your sins before you die? Believe and obey all of the Commands ? Believe and Follow ? Believe and find more to do to because “ even the demons “believe”....... Hogwash !
If you want to “ Follow” Jesus—- do what Jesus Said and “ Follow Paul”.......Paul says in order to be Saved, you must “Believe on the Lord, Jesus Christ”—- Plus NOTHING! We are talking about Salvation— the FREE Gift, remember? Given to the “ ungodly”. Given to those who do NOT work for it , lest God Be in debt to you—- something that will NEVER happen! Turn to God....get Saved......get the Holy Spirit in you , and all of the “ following”, all of the “repenting” and all the “ Command Keeping” That needs to be done will be done as a gift of the God that you turned to in order to get Saved to begin with.....Trust God and He will do what only He CAN do. He will Transform you from the inside out, forming you into the Image Of His Son.....Quit TRYING to be Saved and improved.......start TRUSTING to be Saved and improved .....Gid Bless...

"5For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge; 6and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness; 7and to godliness, mutual affection; and to mutual affection, love. 8For if you possess these qualities in increasing measure, they will keep you from being ineffective and unproductive in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. 9But whoever does not have them is nearsighted and blind, forgetting that they have been cleansed from their past sins.

10Therefore, my brothers and sisters, make every effort to confirm your calling and election." - 2 Peter 1:5-10

If you were my neighbor and you claimed you were a believing, saved Christian I would expect you to purposely and forcefully stop yourself from lusting for my wife from your view over the fence. None of this 'God will fix me someday, because if I stopped myself that would just be me trying to save myself, and I would be sinning". That's pure garbage. I would expect you to "make every effort" to put your fleshly desires to death and walk according to the Spirit, just as the Bible exhorts us to do. Your junk doctrine is responsible for the end times falling away of the church that we are experiencing right now. It has brought a multitude of fake believers into the church who have been deluded into thinking they are saved. They have been taught there is no cost to weigh or consider before making a decision to be saved and become a disciple of Christ.

If you were my neighbor and you claimed you were a believing, saved Christian I would expect you to purposely and forcefully stop yourself from lusting for my wife from your view over the fence. None of this 'God will fix me someday, because if I stopped myself that would just be me trying to save myself, and I would be sinning". That's pure garbage. I would expect you to "make every effort" to put your fleshly desires to death and walk according to the Spirit, just as the Bible exhorts us to do. Unfortunatly many Christians don’t respond to the goodness and kindness of God, to a wayward generation that is so entangled with the world they have closed their ears to the voice of the Lord within them.


They have gathered for themselves those who will tickle their ears...


Adulterers and adulteresses! Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Whoever therefore wants to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God. Or do you think that the Scripture says in vain, “The Spirit who dwells in us yearns jealously”?
But He gives more grace. Therefore He says:

The question is not whether or not the faith God gives will fail. You will go right to hell along with the enemies of God if you purposely continue to sin after you are sanctified by the blood of Christ and refuse to put the flesh to death through the power of the Holy Spirit as instructed for us to do in the Bible, Colossians 3:5.

Note the word 'sanctified' in the following passages. The author is talking about saved people becoming unsaved and going to hell for trampling on the grace of God they have received:

Hebrews 10:14 KJV, Hebrews 10:10 KJV, Hebrews 10:29 KJV

Saved, sanctified people of God, going to hell because they treated the grace of God they had received with contempt. Instead of receiving the eternal and everlasting inheritance as expected they go to hell to be destroyed with the enemies of God. Wake up church!

What you don't understand is that, ultimately, your refusal to put to death the deeds of the flesh by the Holy Spirit is willful unbelief. This isn't about works earning you salvation. It's about you purposely sinning in unbelief, thinking the grace of God gives you the license to do that.

The condition of the soil of your heart and how deeply and firmly rooted the word of God is in that soil is what determines if you'll persevere to the very end and not fall away back into unbelief.

You people need to know this. Bad, bad times have started for the church here in the United States. The church is not ready. These garbage doctrines have left the church ill prepared for the persecution that is coming and has already started.

none of us will really know till it happens was any one truly ready ? was the apostle paul totally ready ? i doubt it but gave him what he needed. i understand what your saying and none of us are ready or should i say want to go through it .peter addressed some of this in 1 peter chapter 1 a lively hope they felt like they had done something and God had forsaken them

If we confess our sin, he is faithful to forgive us.

That's right. The scriptures do not say that.
That's why we resist this doctrine in the church that says you can.
