The Bible is a compost heap.....

I've noticed a few times that some people are referring to compost as garbage, waste etc. and therefore seeing it as unclean. In God's inspired vision, wisdom and creation,(nature) compost occurs naturally, through trees shedding leaves, animals dying and decomposing into the ground etc. God conceived and implemented this continual cycle of regeneration and rebirth.
If you believe as I do that God created ALL things, and all that comes from God is GOOD, how is it that compost is regarded as impure and somehow insulting to its Creator when used as an analogy to simply show that His word continually breathes new life into his children?
MAN has decided compost is unclean NOT God.
Only through mans perceived idea of compost is the analogy Grazer used being judged and therefore God's creation of a balanced earth is being judged also.

We know it's purely symbolic, like things in the law that God said were to be considered unclean, like feces, and dead bodies, and a women's blood flow, but I wonder why you're not listening when we show you, as it turns out, the analogy doesn't fit at all anyway.

Your new life doesn't seed itself in the Word and then grows. Rather the Word finds seed in YOU and the Life of God comes to fruition in you. The soil in which the new life of God, the new nature, grows is US. The Word being like a compost heap is a completely inaccurate analogy of the role of the Word in the believer's life. If anything we are the one's that should be likened to compost from which new life--the new life of God--grows. I challenge you to show us this is not how the Word is portrayed in the Bible itself by God.

The Bible is a Smelly, Gross, Pile of Rotting Garbage, by Peter Enns

I am not sure anyone looked at the "real title" contained on that link.

You know there is something called discernment. It's not a given when we are first saved. It's something we develope over time as we study God's Word and apply it to our life. As we build those spiritural muscles from drinking in the pure milk of the word we are able to spot pretty quickly the doctries of demons or at least the Holy Spirit is yelling within us NO GET AWAY or the Holy Spirit immediately begins to bring to mind scripture to help guide us.

The title alone is enough for most of us to know this man more than likely does not respect the Holy Scriptures much less the God of those scriptures. Ps. 119 written by the man after God's own heart floods my mind. The respect Jesus gave to God's Holy Word floods my mind.

What is so sad to me is the followers of Peter Enns are being lead down a path that leads people away from the truth of scripture and Jesus Christ. Peter teaches that Jesus had it wrong about Moses, Paul had it wrong about Adam and the Christian Church has it wrong when we stand on biblical doctrinal truths and defend them against heritics. Talk about arrogance! He teaches our method of interpeting scripture is all wrong!

Jesus said, Santify them with truth, Your word is truth. Jesus Christ also said, man shall not live by bread alone but every word that comes from the mouth of God.

Peter Enn's teachings, opinions and words are nothing more than a Smelly, Gross, Pile of Rotting Garbage,

Yes, I mean that is the most disrespectful way possible. (just like Peter Enns really does)

What will you be eating for Dinner tomorrow, fermenting garbage? Don't be surprised if I decline any invitation you might extend to me to eat with you and your family for Christmas.

The 'garbage' from which new life springs from is the trash heap of your sinful life burned up on the altar of God by the fire of the Holy Spirit. The Word of God is the nourishment that feeds that new life.

The Lord answered, “Who then is the faithful and wise manager, whom the master puts in charge of his servants to give them their food allowance (discarded table scraps?) at the proper time? Luke 12:42 NIV1984

14 But solid food (fermenting garbage?) is for the mature, who by constant use have trained themselves to distinguish good from evil. Hebrews 5:14 NIV1984

Like newborn babies, crave pure (spoiled?) spiritual milk, so that by it you may grow up in your salvation... 1 Peter 2:2 NIV1984
.
Sorry, but I refuse to entertain an analogy about the Bible being a dung heap of spoiled garbage that believers feed from and are nourished by. Ain't gonna do it.

sorry, neither will. the bible is alive today and forever me because its the very word of god, spoken.

sheesh.the word of god dwells in us. if the bible is rotten then so are we!
