The Blood Atonement ?

"Oh, please believe in Jesus, so that His Cross and death" is THEN made effective!"

That is NOT the Gospel.

Yes, and a person should not preach that ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ as "the gospel".

The Gospel is, "Christ was virgin born, and was Crucified to die for your sins".
However, we are to explain "Jesus Saves" in some detail, (including that Jesus rose from the dead), while keeping the Cross at the very center of the explanation so that a person's Faith rests on Jesus and what He has done for them, because God loved them so much that He gave Jesus, His only begotten, for them.
The power of the "preaching of the Cross", is its ability to help a person understand that they are a sinner who need a savior, and the mercy of the Cross comes when they understand that God loves them so much that Christ died on the Cross FOR them.

When we "preach" the Cross, there are in fact TWO listeners in every person.

The person, and the 'god of this world' who blinds them to our witness, or not, depending on the Grace of God in Christ, that is given to us to plant in our witness. (2 Cor. 4:4, Romans 11:8, Eph. 2:2 and many many others)

No person get's to "take the credit" for the workings of God in Christ. That won't happen. If we have the "power to turn" them from their hold, then that is strictly from God Alone, honoring a truthful witness.

If we think it is "just them" there in between their own two ears, it's not.

Acts 26:18

To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me.

I expect at least ONE of the parties can be reached. The other, never.

.

Sure,
no person should take credit for the work of the Holy Spirit.
And no person should take the credit do from Jesus, who earned redemption on a Cross which God gives away for free.
A person who is trying to do that......., who is trying to rob Jesus of the credit do for Salvation, ... will use James or Hebrews or Matthew, to try to undo the finished work of Jesus, as they talk endlessly about "works", or "enduring to the end", or any type of self effort to keep themselves saved instead of trusting in Jesus to keep them saved.

I prefer to 'steal' people from Satan. He is easy to steal from, employing Christ's Eternal Methodology, that has been delivered into our hands:

The LOVE of God in Christ.

2 Corinthians 12:16
But be it so, I did not burden you: nevertheless, being crafty, I caught you with guile.

Revelation 16:15
Behold, I come as a thief. -

There is the fact of the resurrection, and then there is the preaching of the Cross.
One proves that Jesus is the Messiah, and the other is the Gospel that a person hears, then believes, then, trusts Christ. = God accepts this faith and gives them righteousness.

Let me ask you a question...
If you are correct, then here is how what you are saying sounds if someone is trying to win a soul.

" we are all sinners and God has sent the resurrection to pay for your sins".
Huh?
do WHAT?

So, do you understand that a person has to hear the Gospel, respond to it, and then God saves them?
This is why a preacher has to preach that a person is a sinner, is lost, and that its a sin issue that needs to be solved by a CROSS, and a Blood Atonement.........and that is why you preach "Christ crucified", as this is what a person is to understand is being OFFERED to them, to pay for their sins, so that they are = then reconciled to God...
You dont tell them that the "resurrection" is offered for their sins... as this does not PAY for SINS,....... because only the Blood redeems, only the Blood cleanses, only the Blood of Jesus washes away their sins, and that is why Paul preaches "Christ Crucified".
You dont preach the resurrection to save a soul, you preach a CROSS and a Savior ON IT.
"""" We preach CHRIST CRUCIFIED".......is what Paul says that he PREACHED...

So, its fine to teach that the resurrection is proof of the truth of Jesus as Messiah, but you dont offer this ALONE to a person as the Gospel, as its the Blood that takes care of their sins.
Soul saving is all about the Blood being shed, as "there is no redemption without the shedding of remission"?
huh?....do what?
No, the final answer is.....= "there is no redemption without THE SHEDDING OF Jesus's BLOOD" on a Cross.......<<<
In fact Kidron, The religious leaders of Israel were so afraid of the resurrection that they bribed the soldiers to lie about it (Matt. 28:11-15) The gospel is the life, death and resurrection of our Lord. The cleansing blood of the sacrifice of Christ only justifies us by His resurrection. He lives, and because He lives, we have an eternal High Priest and advocate in heaven who will save us to the uttermost. Not cover our sins but to cleanse us white as snow. The joy of salvation is not His death, but His resurrection. The shedding of His blood would be void without His resurrection. There would be no redemption without the resurrection. That is the Gospel and joy of it. He has defeated the last enemy DEATH by His resurrection and His sacrifice for our sins.

In fact Kidron, The cleansing blood of the sacrifice of Christ only justifies us by His resurrection.

That doesn't work, Douglas,
See, the reason that Christ's blood justifies, sanctifies, redeems, is because its God's sinless blood.
That is to say, its more then just "blood"......its a specific and special blood, its an eternal blood, and the reason it redeems is because the Sinless Christ was KILLED to shed it.
So, its the DEATH of Christ that sheds the blood which IS the judgement poured out for sinners, on Christ, that forgives their sins.
This is explained to you within the Communion.
Jesus talks about his body and his SHED blood, and never his resurrection as the means to redeem, as you are teaching.
You are familiar with the last supper?....the Communion?
This does not happen in the resurrection, but it only happens on the Cross.
Sinners are not judged worthy and righteous based on the resurrection, but rather they are esteemed worthy and viewed as righteous by God because >someone< who is sinless has DIED in their place, for their sins.
Salvation is all about paying for sins, and that happens on a CROSS, and not in a tomb.
This is why Paul preaches "Christ Crucified".
AS THAT is the gospel, and not ....."we are saved by the resurrection", as you are teaching.
No Apostle in any letter says that salvation is "bought with a price", and that price is the resurrection, as you are saying.
But they all say this....
1st Peter 1:19..."but with the precious blood of Christ".
Titus 2: 14 "who gave himself"

Ephesians 1:7 ... In Him we have redemption through His BLOOD = the forgiveness of Sins.""
