[_ Old Earth _] The Christianity In Science

I hope you realize that we can use your argument, like some scientific naturalists have, to say that Jesus didn't perform miracles, he just used medicine (science).

You can use it however you wish, you'd still be in error.

You haven't shown that Jesus was ignorant regarding science.
No one said he was ignorant, just that he probably didn't know much. And he probably didn't. You posted a passage, out of context, to imply that Jesus perhaps knew everything about science. But since it is out of context, it can only support the idea that Jesus may have known some things about science.

Again, using your argument, we can do away with most/all of Jesus' miracles.

Please check those tempers. Things are progressing badly all too quickly.

Thank you for your cooperation.

Science can tell us some things about God, but the true nature of God was revealed on the cross.

Science doesn't have anything to do with that.

You believe it's a worthy event for evidence of your belief. Was that allegorical?
Christ's crucifixion is an event regardless if you claim it's scientific or not. One you believe to have occurred.
Just because it's in the bible doesn't mean it didn't happen. All throughout biblical text are clues and facts for science to use as evidence. Archeology uses biblical text in a number of ways relying on the accuracy of recorded events in the bible.

A theistic evolutionist may not believe certain events actually happened but that by no means discounts the entire bible as you have already admitted. Creationists believe certain events did occur. But neither can ignore biblical events in any respect. There's too much evidence that events in the bible did happen therefore the entire bible cannot be swept aside simply because some of it is controversial.

I think it is wrong to question the knowledge of Jesus.
The Gospel of John tells us that he is God, that he created everything.
If Jesus and the Father are one, John 10:30; then Jesus had full knowledge as a man of everything that he was sent to do.
This had to include every scientific fact that was necessary for him to fulfill his ministry.
We can never know all that this entails.

so we that don't speak Hebrew should just say a day isn't a day? most Hebrew scholars wont suggest that.
No. The question I asked was a "how" question. That requires an explanation beyond what was already posted.
jesus a man didn't know much about God either, see where that can go? Jesus said he saw a man Philip prior to his coming to him. how does a mortal do that?

Even as a man He spoke as the Father would have Him speak. And that not by His authority but by the Father's.
I would think God knew something of science.

Nor did Jesus give up His divinity but took on the nature of a man in addition to who He is.
I've heard it said, "He set aside His crown..."
No, He set nothing aside. He was diminished in no way. Just because He took the form of man doesn't mean he was reduced in any way.
