The Death Penalty

That seems reasonable. But no parole. That means your whole life in prison until you die.
its not. the insanity may cause one to kill an officer. trust me those that go in there are in there for reason said. ie punishments from dr, or protection. state law and federal codes and army regs are the same. its 30 days for protection, 60 days for an offense at the most. if there for life its because they must. you are too much of a danger.

I have heard some prisoners say they would rather have the death penalty than go through life in prison.Well, then I hope they come to Jesus because if they think prison is bad it is a trip to the park compared to hell.

even If i repented. I would choose it. trust me. I cant post what I have been trained on in prison work. im not phased by human sin. others would vomit. nope.

Bill,

When I follow Jesus’ teachings on love and forgiveness in the New Testament, am I not following God?

Be blessed.

Toby
No Toby. When you go the New Testament route you have circumvented the Bible and have gone straight to the commentary with no explanation of the subject matter. Before I was allowed to fire my M60 that Army taught me the basics of the machine and after I had my basics straight I was allowed to use it, not before.

In like manor Jesus gave the Hebrews the Bible and after they knew it inside out, He came in the flesh and demonstrated how to apply His teachings. I have encountered pastors that teach all a Christian needs to please God, fully, is the Beattitudes and that is, in no manor, true. The est comment I can give such a claim is that they are leading their flock into eternity in Hell... That is sad.

As I have taught, many times, John 1:1-3, Jesus is the God/Creator of the Hebrew Bible and the silly idea that He changed from the Christian's Old Testament to the New Testament is struck down by Mal. 3:6a. Jesus proclaimed, in the fleshly body, he did not come to do away with the Law and the Prophets but rather, to complete their writings.

Throughout the New Testament we are taught that Jesus is the model we are to seek to become like... He has always been and always will be the God of both Testaments that we are to follow.

Bill,

Thanks for the explanation.
