The Derailing Thread

I wanted to join the Air Force when I was 18, but I have chronic asthma so they wouldn't let me. I wanted to go to Japan. I have a good friend Stationed there.
Asthma depending on the severity isn't a career stopper .I have asthma

Are you stationed in florida? Will you ever move? Where do you want to retire?
Florida national guard, not wanting to retire but come apr 30th it may not be a choice.board has concluded so now I await the results

Zrytec helps too.
Anti histamine. That prevents the reaction to an allergen bur not asthma itself.you still are producing those mucus plugs .I know I have that.nothing stops that.the meds reduce the tendency of the throat to close but don't do much for mucus.I may be wrong. Advair is all I have used

I have to say:

Today is Matthew and I's anniversary of 8 years! He took me to lunch and bought me a dozen roses. :D :D :D

I have exercise induced, pet dander, mold, and pollen asthma issues.
You have one type of asthma.the others things you mention are allergens any lung irritation will trigger asthma attacks.I have those frim colds, irritants in the air.

I was talking with my FIL and we agree that If it weren't for our medications we would probably be dead.

I seldom have taken mine.it comes and goes. I hope the board hasn't use that against me.it has never affected my performance

Still over my head.
LOL, think for a moment, you are on the freeway or the interstate and as you and the Semi next to you start down the steep hill, suddenly the trucker lets off the fuel peddal and unknown to you he pulls a knob on his shifter console and the truck explodes hundreds of times a second sounding much like rat-a-tat-tat-tat-tat so loud it might even hurt your ears. That is the Jake Brake keeping him from speeding up and wrecking the truck.

Either that or he is, like most young Truckers a letch and is slowing down to look at your legs and the old drivers are trying to get him to understand you are some father's baby girl, to leave you alone. (The sultry side of trucking.)
