I wouldnt' call myself a musician.. I have a guitar. I've only learned to p lay worship music through easy chords.. and honestly guitar frustrates the heck out of me so i don't really play much.

do you play anything?

I used to play guitar, also. I was OK. Mostly classical, but I played in the church choir a while. Oh, and in a jazz band too, but I was horrible. All a very long time ago.

Classical music is hard! That's awesome! I'm not Catholic but i love the song Ave Maria, and its beautiful on classical guitar.

If I could play anything though, it would be the violin. When I was 16 the Pastor's wife played my favorite hymn (holy holy holy) on her violin and I was just like...wow thats beautiful. I can't afford to buy one much less take lessons but someday I hope I will be given the opportunity! One of the things I want to do in life before I die.

If you could play any instrument what would you play? KevinK

Oh, that's so wild. If it weren't for guitar, I would have opted for violin also. I think I would have liked to have played in an orchestra. There's a handful of guitar concertos (concerti?) of course, but rather be a bread-and-butter player than center-of-attention.

Once in awhile I like to imagine being with an orchestra. Like the one from the first Fantasia movie.

There is an album by Apocalyptica that covered songs from Metallica. They use four cellos. Its rather beautiful. Heres an example:

(I dont listent the actual metallica anymore though)

Yah, I love cellos, too. To be honest, I actually prefer the sound of a cello to a violin. Violins can get a bit screechy at times. Violas are a cool compromise, but they're kind of the forgotten man (or woman) of the string family.
