yes he didNoah found Grace in the eyes of the Lord
thank you for posting thatOne redemption one saviour .. One people of God.. We are all one in Christ
And he had the same faith as Abraham, even though he predates Abraham.Noah found Grace in the eyes of the Lord
if it was not for Christ i could not have Grace so technically speaking they are both the same for those who are saved John 1:17 for the law was given through Moses, grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.dirtfarmer here
There is division between believers, most say that the gospel of the kingdom and the gospel of the grace of God are one in the same. What do you believe concerning this, is the gospel of the kingdom different from the gospel of the grace of God?
Noah found Grace in the eyes of the Lord
"What is the gospel?"
Answer: The word gospel literally means “good news” and occurs 93 times in the Bible, exclusively in the New Testament. In Greek, it is the word euaggelion, from which we get our English words evangelist, evangel, and evangelical. The gospel is, broadly speaking, the whole of Scripture; more narrowly, the gospel is the good news concerning Christ and the way of salvation. .to me a simple explanation would be the good news of the results of the death burial and resurrection the end result eternal life ..how much better news is there? paul said/ wrote there is ONE LORD ONE FAITH ONE BAPTISM . it was posted about division where does division come from? Did Christ only die and come back to life for the Pentecostal or maybe just the Baptist o wait those of us who attend a non denominational Church are the only ones? no Christ paid the price and rose again on the 3rd day for everyone of us . john 17 Christ prayed we would be one in him. not one big universal Church that says everyone is saved. when jesus said he was the way truth and life and none of comes to the father but through him. through the years mankind has been trying to improve the plan of salvation.. some have suggested i get a sense of humor . i have one. the body of Christ has far to much division the Good news is who so ever shall call upon the Name of the Lord shall be saved . :amen
Do you think that it is possible to have faith in God, and not be repentant of sins? To go with that question is another; do you think it's possible to have faith in God and not have knowledge of your sin? Yet another; do you think it's possible to have faith in God without knowing what sin is?hello reba, dirtfarmer here
How was it that found grace? Was it because repented of his sins. Remember " Where there is no law sin is not imputed": Romans 5:13, what law was Noah under? Noah found grace when God revealed that he was going to flood the earth and began to build the ark by faith. In Noah's lifetime there was no such thing as rain, water falling from the sky. A mist came up from the ground and water the earth: Genesis 2:6. Those that saw Noah building the ark probably thought him insane, not for building the ark, but for saying it is going to rain, water falling from the sky. Similar to today when we mention the " CATCHING AWAY" of the believers.
law was given in the Garden . so i will not say there was no law... and the fact of no rain ... does not equate to two gospels
To have faith in God you must believe in God; to believe in God you must believe in His Word/word; believing in His Word/word you must repent of your sins. No repentance no belief; no belief no faith....IMO. For the other 2 questions refer back here.Do you think that it is possible to have faith in God, and not be repentant of sins?
And he had the same faith as Abraham, even though he predates Abraham.
Hebrews 11:7 (ESV) 7 By faith Noah, being warned by God concerning events as yet unseen, in reverent fear constructed an ark for the saving of his household. By this he condemned the world and became an heir of the righteousness that comes by faith.
There was no impending danger.hello Nathan, dirtfarmer here
What impending danger was it that Abraham warned of by God as Noah was.? In the scripture I read Abram was told to leave the country of his birth and journey to a land that God would show him. We are told that Abraham looked for a city whose builder and maker was God, not man.
hello Not_Now.Soon, dirtfarmer here
Was Noah told to repent and turn to God. What about Moses or Enoch. It is only the gospel of the kingdom that they were told to repent and turn to God. Even in the gospel of the grace we are told to believe and you will be saved.
but the old testament is part of the good news..leading up to salvation .the o.t had to look to the finished works of the cross by faith. today we living the N.T era look back at the finished work of the cross. the penalty has been paid the tomb is empty and Christ is alive and we are guaranteed victory if we faint not. even when we faint lose heart. which i have mny times. he picks us up and dust us off sets us back up . i like psalms 40hello ezra, dirtfarmer here
You are correct, "gospel" is not used in the old testament but "glad tidings" is used 4 times in the old testament and is used the same as gospel used by Jesus in the new testament
you made a very valid point all the heroes of faith in Hebrews 11 was failures .but by his grace he restored them much like the prodigal son. even though he slept and ate with the pigs while tending them. the Bible say he come to his senses realized how much better he had it at home . so he loaded up his truck and went back home. his dad watched for him every day. then when he came hid ran hugged him restored him. i am glad my heavenly father allows me to come back home. after i have failedEven to say that God looks at the rightousness of man as comparable to dirty rags. I would assume this also included Enoch, Noah, Abraham, and everyone else except Jesus throughout history. But it's by God's grace we are saved.
loaded question it would be hard say i have faith n God and not repentDo you think that it is possible to have faith in God, and not be repentant of sins?
Happy Easter Dirtfarmer. I don't understand the pull to have different scriptures competing against eachother. It's said that all fave fallen away, that no one is good. Even to say that God looks at the rightousness of man as comparable to dirty rags. I would assume this also included Enoch, Noah, Abraham, and everyone else except Jesus throughout history. But it's by God's grace we are saved.
That does not nean we have nothing to do. That only mesns that God is in charge of us, and has rescued us. Scantifued us, and hopefull continually cleans us. If Israel is God's chosen people and his special possession His specisl treasure, then by their history we can look at How God saves. With blessings and rebukes God led them, saved them from enemies numerous times, with only them to say "we've sinned please save us." By this history I can confidantly say that God will give us His grace, even at a monent's notice if all we do is go to Him. And when we do wrong then yes repenting is part of that deal. Once we have turned to God though then yes His grace and His blessingscare sufficiant.
