The Lord shows Abraham the future...

It is a sad scripture indeed. But one must ponder upon the question as to why an Apostle of God, if not one of the greatest has to see his bloodline suffer. And why the Lord made it that way. The reason being, and for a fact, is simply because without knowing suffering for God, one cannot estalbish a network of adversity. Within the eyes of the Lord, the ones that suffer are redeemed the highest and its been proven through many of the greatest apostles of God. Including Jesus Christ and his crucifixion. One must note that the suffering indeed comes fro a state of ruling, hence if one does not suffer then one is not abled to know the difference between overcoming and enduring. If in case one is made a servant, then one is showmn the way to how to treat a servant in eternity. All in the works of the Lord.

i understand, that while the pastor told me to read John when i asked him. God told me dont. You are a jew, you need to know your roots and where you come from. so i started in genesis. that is why i say that. i saw christ in genesis. i saw christ in exodus, and so forth.
 
IMO there's a very good reason why the LORD shows us this story in Genesis.. and I'm certain that there are as many other infinite reasons as well.. although here are my immediate thoughts on this story.

When the LORD shows you the future.. things to come, things which could be hundreds of years away... there is going to be skepticism.. and that's not a bad thing.. even Christians have the right to be skeptical and to know if God actually does know the end from the beginning in all things.. imo there's nothing wrong with that.

A babe in Christ may not have any idea about the things which shall be hereafter.. although an elder in Christ should certainly understand and know this to be true.. and understand the precedent by which God has already shown us the future.. thousands of years in ADVANCE..

It's called the gospel.. FORETOLD in countless miraculous ways throughout the OT.. story after story.. all concerning HIM.. written down centuries in advance.. again in living and powerful, miraculous detail.

There is absolutely no denying that the LORD knows all things beginning to end..

So why in the world do Christians struggle with the future ? IMO it's because there are not many elders out there who understand the enormity of these things.. everyone seems to be off on some fanatical trail leading anywhere but to the eternal glories of our Lord Jesus Christ..

And that's only the beginning imo.. we also wrestle against spiritual wickedness in high places.. against the rulers of the darkness of this world and their intense deception which has the the whole world locked in..

AND the LAST THING that THEY want you to know is that God KNOWS the FUTURE and that HE PROMISES YOU A FUTURE and HOPE..

Read what happens when the word is sown... it immediately gets DEVOURED by... do I even need to say it.. ? I'm beginning to think that it can't be said here in CF anymore... the very thing which GOD SHOWED US concerning what would happen when He revealed the things to come..
 
I sincerely hope that all have a wondrous Thanksgiving, and remember how eternally blessed you are in HIM.. Christ Jesus our LORD and Saviour.
 
The Day of the LORD... the Day of Jesus Christ..

According to the simplicity and truth of the holy scriptures.. the next event in prophecy is the coming of the DAY of the LORD.. spoken of in miraculous detail by not only the OT Prophets of God, but also the Apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ.. the exact foundation which the church of God rests upon.. with the Lord Jesus Christ of course being its chief cornerstone.

The word of God could not be more miraculous.. and that DAY shall come as a thief in the night and as travail upon a woman with child..

Staggering events are associated with the DAY of the LORD...

The coming of Christ the second time, apart from sin, for salvation.

The resurrection of the just.. or justified..

The marriage of the Lamb to His wife..

The deliverance of the nation of Israel..

The kingdoms of this world becoming the kingdoms of our God and of His Christ..

The Lord Jesus Christ sitting upon the throne of His glory in the regeneration.. with His Apostles sitting upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel..

These are but a few of the things which shall be hereafter.. in that Day.. at the revelation of Jesus Christ..
 
that is if want to ignore that logically the torah must be return during the millenium and gentiles become isrealites to be right with YHWH, and somehow that works out better then the cross ever could.

the more i read on my ancenstral faith and culture the more i realise that jesus had to come to replace the way to YHWH.the Law isnt able to perfect men. yet somehow futurists dont get that.

And just in case it isn't absolutely and undeniably clear to the church of God, that the Day of the Lord is a future event... the Apostle to the Gentiles warns the church of God of being deceived by anyone who actually does SAY that THAT DAY is at hand..

And we know that the deceiver appears as an angel of light in many cases don't we.. and other times it's just painfully obvious.
 
I'm not a prophet, and if anyone here was a real prophet they would not admit it. That said, I can look upon the recordings of true prophets in the bible to see how those prophecies have been confirmed throughout history. Most has already been fulfilled; some remains to be fulfilled. However, that which remains is not prophetically described in particulars, but is in general a gradual positive redemption of the world(s) by tribulation via the Holy Spirit through Christ.
 
An argument based upon silence no doubt..

People can SAY all sorts of crazy things.. And yet most can't back up a single thing with the word of God.

And of course those who say that the resurrection is past already, we know that their words eat like a cancer.. And we know that the deceiver is alive and well and that he even appears as an angel of light.
 
And it should be blatantly obvious that the living and powerful word of God means absolutely nothing at all to the scoffers.. who WILL SAY the exact opposite of what the living word of God DOES SAY..

You'll never hear a scoffer speak of the profane babbling that comes out of their own mouths.. because that is meaningless to them.. just as you'll never hear them speak of the things which shall be hereafter... because they haven't a clue what is to come.. and this makes perfect sense in light of the simple biblical fact that the Spirit of God shows us things to come..

It should also be obvious to the body of Christ that the scoffers have nothing to do with the body of Christ.. they're certainly NOT coming together to REMEMBER HIM in HIS DEATH TIL HE COMES..

How could they be..?

Their only purpose is to try and DECEIVE the body of Christ into believing that the Lord Jesus Christ has ALREADY come.. and they overturn the FAITH of some..

And once again.. this doesn't matter one iota to most of the professing church today.. who can't even see the wolves in their own midst.. right here, right now.. but rather welcome them.. being completely unaware that they appear as an angel of light..

Last time I checked.. these are scriptural facts... and of course we know that they mean absolutely nothing to the scoffers who deny the Lord's coming.. and who say that the resurrection is past already.. and how that they overthrow the faith of some..

Same with the prince of the power of the air and the fowls of the air.. they come to devour and to steal away the faith and hope of the body of Christ... and they certainly are not of the body of Christ.. as they certainly do not come together with the body of Christ to remember the LORD in His death til He comes.. these are those who separate themselves.. sensual.. having not the Spirit.. according to the word of God.. and of course these all parade around as angels of light..

It simply goes to show that the living and powerful word of God doesn't mean a whole lot today.. that's for sure.

If this supposedly Christian Forum would like to shut down any thread for speaking the truth of the holy scriptures.. then that would speak volumes in and of itself.. and even this is a sure sign of the times..
 
who exchanged the truth of God for a lie..

Typically what happens is that the scoffers will cry to the mods to gets posts which offend them erased.. or threads closed or whatever... not much different than what happens in the world today.. the truth is silenced and the lies are embraced..

And then eventually everyone will be able to speak about how the Lord destroyed Israel in 70AD and that was the time of the end.. robbing every last faithful Christian of their faith and hope in the promises of God.
 
And it's obvious that the scoffers of today have no understanding at all concerning the things which shall be hereafter.. just as many are completely without understanding of the things which are..

Things like Satan being the god of this present evil world.. the prince of the power of the air..

Many don't believe this simple biblical truth and that's exactly where the god of this world wants them to be.. scoffing at the truth.. and because of that.. many today are completely beyond comprehending the fact that they are deceived and being deceived..

All one needs to do is read the simple truth of the word of God to actually see what's going on in this present evil world.
 
There have been few postings on this thread from anybody but you, 'Tide. That, I believe, is because of the disrespectful manner in which you expressed yourself to others in your other, closed thread. My advice to you is that if you want to engage in discussion - rather than just posting in this echo chamber - back off on the insults against people with whom you disagree.

Otherwise, enjoy preaching to yourself.
