I understand what you're saying, but not all children are constantly supervised. Some aren't supervised at all. These are the ones we need to look out for. We need to be their example of what a Christian should act like.
 
Mom told me about 50+ years ago. . . Reba, dont go to a movies you wouldn't take Jesus with ya to see. Needless to say i dont see many movies or watch much TV ... i spend to much time here... :neutral

Are you saying that children should not see us post that cartoon, and go on to show the underhanded intent of it....... BUT they should see us coming down on people for saying a "BLEEP" word, as somehow being an example of what a follower of Christ is?

I think the last church "Men's Night Out" movie about thirty of us went to was Lone Survivor.

I'm saying some of these topics are too deep for a child's understanding.

It's better to air on the side of caution.

It was two frames. Just enough to pass into the subconscious. My kids watched it for years and it makes me extremely unhappy.

That's the subtle part. That Disney pic I posted was two frames you would not have noticed.

I watched a Disney modern show and there where kids to be made smarter than parents, jokes against parents and those in charge at school. It promotes rebellion A main trait of Satan.

Is the matrix better? I can list a number of principles that we should avoid, all packaged to look like entertainment. The lie is I am an adult and knowledgeable enough to handle it, but the heart was not made to be subjected to it and fear never comes if there is no knowledge. (the tree in the garden)

Well Reba is sticking up for Disney, or she hates the mice, but I have yet another warning to look through and ponder. I minister a lot to gang types and homeless, those in despair. So I tend to forget the kid gloves at times.

Ah, I understand now. In freeze frame it's anything but hidden.
 
The Matrix does not tempt me to anything. I am not tempted to be my own god, invent another god, etc. For me it is safe. My heart is pure:

"To the pure, all things are pure ; but to those who are defiled and unbelieving, nothing is pure, but both their mind and their conscience are defiled." (Titus 1:15 NASB)

But if a person is struggling with those kinds of temptations, or comes out of a background that would make watching it dangerous for them, they should not watch it. But nobody else's conscience is governed by another's conscience (grasping for the reference just now). Like I say, I honestly see Christ and redemption in the figures and types in the Matrix 1. I actually start thinking MORE about the truth when I watch it. And I am in no way tempted to start building a false construct about truth and the universe according to it.

The difference is my kids and many others had no idea it was there. It's two frames that pass by little eyes that connect to an heart that is being molded. Disney has things in there drawings that look like penises and occult symbols, they pass off as the find a dog in the cloud effect. We did not have penises in mind when we drew the pictures they claim.

There is no mistaking what is in the picture I posted, no place for Disney to come up with an excuse. It shows the very nature of who they are and go beyond just entertaining children, but to mold them after the of Satan.

In strong believers the picture should have invoked a strong sadness and realization that entertainment from the ungodly is not safe. It should have snapped some with kids to re-evaluate what their kids are watching. As a parent who had that movie, I wish someone would have shown me that same picture years back.
For me, don't pull punches when it comes to the wellbeing of my kids, I heard Disney was evil but I could not really see in other pic what folks where saying, until I saw the one I posted.

We have to build nothing. Thanks to being programed by "tradition" that we accept and follow as if it has to be the only way.

I'd say we are living in a matrix of sorts. Before Christ we all live in the mindless, pre-programmed way of the world and the enemy, held bondage to that system, all the while oblivious to that fact. But One has been Chosen, equipped with superior power, to set us free from that matrix.

Seriously though I do know after I got saved I do have the power to overcome temptation.

You can do greater things than that, sister! :thumb

Since being saved, I can now see "the code", so to speak. I see the program for what it is, which gives me an edge over it. Sometimes I want to plug back in, but after being connected to the Source, I know it's folly.

Gee, we sure are making a lot of Matrix references here.
