The Ramble On thread

Sorry for the impending rant, but I need to get this off my chest.

Who or what came up with 'MY BAD"?
Oh my bad, i forgot......... oops my bad, etc etc. Your bad...? Your bad what? Your bad understanding of plain English? Your bad brain cells that don't allow you to finish a sentence. I understand it's a type of urban idiom that younger people use. But today, a friend of mine in his late fifties said it twice during conversation. It took allmy strength that God blessed me with, not to twist off at him.
BAD is an adjective people! It must be followed by a noun! It's bad enough hearing people say it,but to take the time to type it? what is going on with the world? The worse thing is my students here in LOS now think everything they've learned about adjectives doesn't count...
AAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!:wall:wall:wall
Okay that feels better. My bad for ranting like that.:shocked! Oh no................. it's catching,...... it's a disease, an epidemic, maybe even a pandemic, run, run to the hills and block your ears before it's too late and you too catch the "my bad" virus................

Ah, paul, you're going to have to loosien up a little bit. Kids are always going to be messing with the language in order ot sound cool, and some of us older guys are going to try it out once in awhile.

But, I understand your frustation, there are ways of speaking that drive me nuts too. For instance,"at this point in time" makes me want to leap for the guy's throat when I hear it.

Mark, you've hit the nail on it's head. I'm usually okay with it,but this new one is just, just, arrrrghhhh. I think it gets to me so much because I'm teaching English as a second language. Thai grammar is 180 degrees from English and a sort of "lazy language". I drive car red. / I drive a red car.
Live house big. / I live in a big house. So there is a lot of time spent teaching sentence structure etc. and especially the correct use of base adjectives, comparatives and superlatives. Then they go home and use Facebook, and the day's lesson goes out the window.

Anyhow, having said that, now, at this point in time, I feel the need for a coffee. :D just messing with you Mark.
Blessings to you and your loved ones.

Bad grammar is pretty annoying...
It's hard to take a person seriously when they can't even communicate correctly... In a language they've been speaking their whole life... Hehe.

wasn't sure before what bridge in those strange dream i've mentioned here before but i've dreamt it again last night and until i saw it on tv today, yeah Sydney harbour bridge...weird...

aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh noop noop wiggily squiggles :toofunny

One word. Viruses. No, two words. Viruses. Trojans. o_o

Good grief, and I know better than to surf the net on the account without antivirus protection.

Running scans on it now with the antivirus on the other account.

AVG 2013 internet protection free version is very very good. Also IOBIT anti mal ware is awesome and free also.

Why do you hate me, laptop? I just want to listen to music on YouTube. :sad Stop crashing already.
It crashed? :o viruses are awful to deal with, which just reminded me I should talk to my mom about getting virus protection for our new computer, especially since one of my sisters does not know what type of links to avoid.

Well, my laptop is fine as far as viruses go. It's just a jerk. xD (My dad's computer is the infected one.) Actually, I'm wondering if Firefix is the problem. It doesn't seem to be able to handle scripts as well anymore. The only reason I'm still using it is because I really love it allows you to customize the skin and all.

I can't tell if my ears are pounding as I wear these headphones, or if I'm just hearing the bass from the radio in the kitchen...probably a bit of both.

You should try Google Chrome, it is a lot faster and you can really customize it as well, and even make your own skins easily! There is a Google Chrome "store" (it is free though) and they have a lot of cool apps for it. I have won my whole family over to Chrome except for my dad, and that is just because he does not care what browser he uses.

Google Chrome did get atuomatically installed along with my new antivirus program...I'll try it, anyway. :)
