This Is Crazy

I am not bothered that one government would spy on another.. sorta like White house to White house..

What we are seeing today is just more invasion because of technical knowledge ... I would guess years back the servants could be paid handsomely for info... "they" will use, have used what ever it takes to reach their goals...today most folks don't have in home hired help we have gadgets that tell on us....
That was a good take on it' reba

At one time authorities needed a solid suspicion a crime was committed before tapping into personal/private info such as tapping a phone or seizing evidence within a home.

But the argument we're getting from the NSA and the WH is that they need that info in case someone is suspected of criminal activity in the future so they may research the crime more closely. Your phone calls can be tapped before you commit a crime against the state.

I don't think we'll have any choice in the decision of security vs privacy. Your privacy will go on record and stored forever. And that goes for anyone on the planet. Your privacy is violated because you could or might commit a terrorist act.

If anything like this comes back to me one day, especially in court, my first reaction will be to stare them in the face and ask them how do they know? that was private communication. Are you admitting you nosed in like a busybody?

I'm sorry that these humorless types that work in these agencies apparently can't stand up to their wives (and not by her fault) that they have to snoop in on our pillow talk for their jollies, looking for terrorists, of course, so they say. At least I take it that's why they end up with "jobs" like these. People that do this stuff certainly are not popular in social circles and certainly not normal.

I predict Anonymous will be making another attack soon if this keeps up. :lol

Guess he couldn't stand the thought, God knowing all things, he had to get in step.. enter the computer.. When i see things like this i thank God my sins are forgiven

European leaders to raise NSA program with US officials
http://www.foxnews.com/world/2013/06/10/european-leaders-to-raise-nsa-program-with-us-officials/

BRUSSELS – Senior European Union officials will question their American counterparts about previously undisclosed U.S. surveillance programs during a trans-Atlantic ministerial meeting in Dublin starting Thursday. German Chancellor Angela Merkel will also raise the issue with President Barack Obama when he visits Berlin next week.
The European Commission said Monday it was concerned about the impact of such programs on the privacy of EU citizens and said overall problems involving data privacy had already been raised by EU Justice Commissioner Viviane Reding during talks with her U.S. counterparts in April.
"This case shows that a clear legal framework for the protection of personal data is not a luxury or constraint, but a fundamental right," Reding said in a reaction to the case.

A lot of similarities between current Washington regime and nazi germany, you can google and see them.
There's nothing new under the sun. Obama supporters wanted change, we'll they got it.

NSA leaker Edward Snowden is a hero to some, traitor to others

Booz Allen employee revealed himself to be source of government data surveillance leaks

http://www.computerworld.com/s/arti...d_Snowden_is_a_hero_to_some_traitor_to_others
Depending on whom you ask, National Security Agency (NSA) contract employee Edward Snowden is either a hero or a traitor for leaking details about top-secret U.S. surveillance programs to the media.

Snowden on Sunday identified himself as the person who had provided The Guardian and other newspapers with details of a top-secret phone records data collection program by the NSA and another covert program called PRISM involving both the NSA and the FBI.

The revelations sparked widespread concern over dragnet-style domestic surveillance by U.S. intelligence agencies. While President Barack Obama and members of his administration have justified the programs as necessary to combat terrorism, privacy and civil rights advocates have blasted them as being far too broad and overreaching.

In a video interview with the Guardian, Snowden said he had blown the whistle on the two programs because of concerns over the extensive nature of the surveillance being carried out by the government in the name of terrorism.

Snowden, who reportedly earns $200,000 working at the NSA as an employee of government contractor Booz Allen Hamilton, said he was willing to risk everything to inform the American people about the surveillance activities.
"I can't in good conscience allow the U.S. government to destroy privacy,

Internet freedom and basic liberties for people around the world with this massive surveillance machine they're secretly building," Snowden said in his interview. He is currently in hiding in Hong Kong and has said he would seek political asylum in Iceland or any country that is willing to have him.
Snowden's actions drew praise from the likes of Julian Assange of WikiLeaks fame and filmmaker Michael Moore as well as conservative talk show host Glenn Beck. He described Snowden in a Twitter message as a "real hero."

Daniel Ellsberg, the source of the famous Pentagon Papers leak to the New York Times more than 40 years ago described Snowden's release of the NSA papers as the most important leak in American history.
In an opinion piece for the Guardian, Ellsberg called Snowden a patriot whose actions give the U.S, an opportunity to "roll back a key part of what has amounted to an 'executive coup' against the U.S. constitution."

In a statement on the Campaign for Liberty blog, former GOP presidential contender Ron Paul said Snowden had done a "great service" by exposing the surveillance programs.
Meanwhile, a petition by Snowden's supporters to the White House seeking pardon for his actions appears to be gathering steam. By 5 p.m. ET Monday, the petition had already garnered more than 26,000 votes and looked well on its way to getting the 100,000 signatures needed for a formal White House response.

Many others, however, were critical of Snowden. In comments to CNN and other media outlets, Rep. Peter King (R-NY) blasted Snowden and called him a "defector" who should be punished to the "fullest extent of the law.
"If Edward Snowden did, in fact, leak the data, as he claims, the United States government must prosecute him to the fullest extent of the law and begin extradition proceedings at the earliest date," King said. "The United States must make it clear that no country should be granting this individual asylum. This is a matter of extraordinary consequence to American intelligence.

Other lawmakers, including Senate Intelligence Committee chairwoman Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) and House Intelligence Committee Chairman Mike Rogers (R-MI), too, called for Snowden's immediate prosecution.
Obama and the director of the national intelligence agency, James Clapper, both previously criticized the leaker for exposing what they have claimed is information that could jeopardize national security interests.

Obama's got some 'splainin' to do.
He can't say he knew nothing about this, or that this is an atrocity perpetrated by a couple rogue NSA agents in Cincinnati to world leaders. And he can't blame Bush since he's been at the helm for over 4 years. He knew of PRISM and allowed the abuse of the Patriot Act to grow far beyond our borders.
These aren't Americans he'll be talking to. These people are serious about their freedoms.

Politicians in Germany, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, Belgium, and Romania are among those to have called for an investigation into PRISM at a European level. German privacy chief Peter Schaar has demanded that the U.S. government “provide clarity” regarding what he described as “monstrous allegations of total monitoring of various telecommunications and Internet services.” And Schaar has been backed up by German Chancellor Angela Merkel, who plans to raise the issue when she meets in Berlin with President Obama next week. Further afield, Canadian and Australian officials have also been voicing their concerns—with Ontario privacy chief Ann Cavoukian calling the disclosures about PRISM “breathtaking” and “staggering.”

This isn't just about Obama's credibility among the American people. This jeopardizes the credibility of the United States on a global scale. To them the United States has victimized the people of foreign countries both friend and foe. And who knows how much propaganda material this provides to our enemies.

Fast and Furious
Benghazi
The IRS against conservative groups
The EPA leaks farmer's personal info
The DOJ seizing AP records
And now PRISM

One of the reasons Satan hates us Potluck we see right through him. He's been at work destroying our country for quite some time, little by little piece by piece. America is watching it all happen right before her eyes and is helpless to stop it because she's up against a foe she can't see, nor has the strength to stop him. Only Jesus can do that and they've told him to go away and leave them alone which is exactly what has happened..

"Had pleasure in unrighteousness"

II Thessalonians 2:10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:
12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

Thank God we are safe in Christ..

Worry not about these things my brothers and sisters!

Psalm 37:7-13 Rest in the Jehovah, and wait patiently for Him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass. Cease from anger, and forsake wrath: fret not thyself in any wise to do evil. For evildoers shall be cut off: but those that wait upon Jehovah, they shall inherit the earth. For yet a little while, and the wicked shall not be: yea, thou shalt diligently consider his place, and it shall not be But the meek shall inherit the earth; and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace. The wicked plotteth against the just, and gnasheth upon him with his teeth. Jehovah shall laugh at him: for He seeth that his day is coming.

TGBTG!

The EU is not happy. I believe Obama has international meetings Thursday and Friday to discuss the NSAs PRISM program.

http://m.guardiannews.com/world/2013/jun/10/obama-pressured-explain-nsa-surveillance

Officials in European capitals demanded immediate answers from their US counterparts and denounced the practice of secretly gathering digital information on Europeans as unacceptable, illegal and a serious violation of basic rights.

Excellent article. And what does this bring to mind? How about private spying, aka "RIAA" and obtaining IP addresses illegally, and they did not know what the hay they were doing when they sued dead grandmother's and stuff like that. A lot of innocent, poor people gave up what little they had in lawsuits while these goons typically make seven, eight or nine digit salaries and want the remaining one lamb of the poor man (as the bible story goes).

Of course morally upright people in forums upheld this kind of stuff in the name of whatever is right (after all, it's stealing) while conspiracy theorists like me for years and years saw deeper for what it was. I hated to even talk about it; it made me seethe so much inside.

And now, here's the government doing the same thing. I wonder if they learned that from the RIAA while some overly stuffed, flabby and vibrating-chinned judge wielded his mandating gavel to allow such things to go on? (in the name of what, I'm not sure, but certainly not the constitution).

I'm sure the public thought that those illegal downloaders had what was coming to them until.... they (and we) all have our phones listened in to and emails read all of a sudden the tune rapidly changed. But the MO (and reasons) for doing BOTH are the same, is it not???? The only difference is the one was private using the vibrating jelly-chinned gavel wielding judge to get their way, and the other is the government.

Obama et al have really made a mess of this nation, and he not only has our enemies all the more determined to exterminate us, but now he has our allies turning against us. This man ought to lower his proud nostrils long enough to stop catching 747's and start realizing that his power, and the military just may not be powerful enough to protect us this time. Someone stick a big pin in this man's (and administration’s) head, please!

That is correct Nick, we are the best spies on the planet. And before we let you blow our cover' we will kill you.

And why am I not surprised. The EU would never approve of outside interference with EU countries. I would love to be a fly on the wall in a meeting with EU officials and Obama.
