Timeline of Jesus' Life

In John, chapter 5, Jesus went up to Jerusalem to celebrate a festival.
That festival fell on the Sabbath, John 5:9.
The only one of the 7 festivals that fell on a Sabbath between 25-35 AD was Purim in 28 AD.

Your scripture refers to the healing miracle on a Sabbath. But pilgrims traveling from Galilee to Jerusalem couldnt do it on the same day. Unless Jesus had a motor bike?

How do you know Purim 28AD was on a sabbath? The verse only says they went to Jerusalem for the festival, not that the festival fell on a sabbath. Jesus could have healed the man on the sabbath, one or two days before Purim.

I'm probably wrong.
I read it on the internet.
Nothing on the internet is true.
The writer of the article probably just made it all up.
Don't believe me, I couldn't possibly know for sure, I wasn't there.

hmm :nod yeah, the Internet. But as the poem goes,

Search the engine 'Net Truth Man.'
In its pages dare,
To find out where,
There is life.
This is the sum of human mind.
But deep does lie,
Them that testify,
Of the truth.

Do you have a link to the article? I think you are right about Jesus celebrating Purim in John 5, because in John 6:1-4 it more or less says 'afterwards... Passover was near', so the chronology fits. However, it doesn't mean Purim was on a sabbath, which could be problematic anyway because Purim is celebrated Adar 15th in Jerusalem, but Adar 14th most other places.
