Tithing Again

visions? really a place in gehenna. I don't base doctrine on visions.

so our kids that get saved should tithe, where do they get the money to tithe if the parent doesn't give them an allowance ?or isn't able to?
I don't recall tithing, being a cardinal command upon the level of baptism, communion and repentance.
Well, 10% x 0 = 0, so they would be off the hook.

Fair point...but seven people's dreams? The same dream?
many have seen mary imagery as the Catholic's say. does that men their teachings on maryology is right?

giving always to be money. funny. I bet in pre war Germany there wasn't any tithing of that useless money. it would have to be one wheel barrow for a loaf of bread.

yet there is no exemption for baptism, repentance, and communion. we baptize all that understand. funny but tithing is on the same level as that? I don't think so.

here's where I don't like that and I had a chat about it with my chaplain who used to count money. and see this stuff, I will share what I have seen and then his story.

1) a lady would tithe at my church and then after paying her tithe, she would then take out more then she gave in food donated to her by the church. makes no sense to give and then same day, take back more then you could give . keep the money and take the food and let others who are blessed to give support you
2) the chaplain spoke of a pastor who couldn't afford to feed his family. so a member seeing that gave him a substantial offering. at the service the pastor said God blessed him to not be cursed and gave that offering to another ministry. does the church come above family? I don't think so. If I was that man, I might not tithe there again or offer . why? because they don't seem to understand what its for.

Surprisingly, it's not Gehenna, it's still Sheol (Hades). Acc. to Weiss' visit, the current abode of the dead is populated, and torment and suffering does occur there. There is also a lake of fire, but "smaller" lake of fire different from the huge lake that will one day consume all of Hell and everyone in it.

As far as visions, understand that I am not a fundamental Scripture reader, and I do research post-Scriptural sources in search of usable material. How do I separate the chaff from the wheat, as it were, or rather the truth if there's any, from Satan's fabrications? Well, that is certainly the trick. But remember that I myself have had such a vision, and it is not as easy for me to just throw out the whole vision thing.

there is no mentioning of lake of fire in sheol. gehenna is a bit different in Hebrew . I know I have read up on that. it has a level for torment but no lake, the lake of fire is a reference to the dead sea, which at the time burned with fire and is a sulfur lake. sulfur will self ignite in water if large quantities are present.

so I aint buying that.

So they say.

I hate to be so skeptical but unfortunately there are just so many fanatics and even flat out liars in the area of Christianity, I can't help myself. On this particular thing, I'd have to seek out all 7, interview them and then draw a conclusion, but the author of the video is pretty safe in that won't likely happen with anyone who wants to verify it. IOW, virtually unverifiable. Honestly, if you don't mind my being blunt, I think it's a crock.

I have the vid credits up here and may check out the website and try to back my thoughts.

It's different when you yourself have been there and realize that anyone could go. I only saw a little bit, but it was plenty enough.

It's an important issue; what if they check your record, say that everything looks right, except wait, you didn't tithe properly. We have a special area for that. Dress for warm climates.

If we hadn't already done this issue to death, I'd ask where does the bible say we have to tithe, but we've done all that already.

I was checking the 10 commandments the other day, and saw no mention of tithing.

Help others. Give what you can, and more if you like, or even just give what you want to give, but whatever you give, do it only if you want too, not begrudgingly, but joyfully ....the end. :)

Wait, that's not the end, be very careful who you give it too and don't always assume it will go to the right place.

And yes, Hell is a very very important issue so, I see your concern, but for myself, I'm convinced that I don't have to give 10% of all my income and if I did that or any amount, it would be up to me how much. There is no command regulating how much, not that I know of.
