Because she’s human and the Bible clearly states that all have sinned except Jesus. She sinned.

I don’t need another persons opinion, or interpretation or commentary about a theology that was built around a term that doesn’t even exist in the Bible.

It’s time for God’s people to get back to what the first century Church was taught by Jesus Christ and His Apostles, and therefore walked in as a lifestyle.

We have people right here on this Forum who can’t even agree that God loves the unsaved people of this world!!!

If we don’t believe God loves the world, then who is going out to the byways and the street to tell the lost the good news?

It’s utterly ridiculous.
Does it need be in the bible to be true?

How do you know what is and what is not the word of God?

The apostolic church was taught by Christ in person for 3 years and commanded yo teach all men!

The apostolic church existed and exercised authority in teaching and sanctifying for thirty years before the New Testament was written, the apostolic church by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit wrote some of the revelation of Christ in the scriptures.

Scripture was not written for 30 plus years?

Canon not approved (by the pope) until 381-2 not until modern mass production in the 20th century was a bible available and affordable to be in every home, and most people were illiterate until the school systems of the 20th century.

Christ did not establish a publishing house but a church the household of faith! 1 tim 3:15

Christ founded a church to teach and sanctify all men! Matt 26:18-19 matt 28:19.

Please provide a basis for the current New Testament canon that is independent of the Apostolic tradition transmitted though the Roman Catholic Church by the authority of Christ in the person of the pope! Matt 16:18-19 matt 28:19

The New Testament in its present form would not exist without the apostolic Church.

We must believe and obey both Christ and the church He founded on the apostles (16:18-19) to teach and sanctify all men unto eternal salvation! (Matt 28:19) Binding on all Christians the faith of Christ!

(Not scripture alone)
Sacred Scripture according to the churches canon and interpretation? Yes! Scripture alone? No!

Heb 1:1-2 God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,

2 Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things by, by whom also he made the worlds;

“Not by scripture alone”!

That’s the nail in the coffin of “Sola scriptura” it is dead and buried, “false doctrine” the doctrine of demons like all the sola’s!
It’s

For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ. Jn 1:17

Jesus Christ is the way, the truth, and the life! Jn 14:6

And this extends to His apostolic church, Christ and His church are one and inseparable! Acts 9:4 Jn 15:5 eph 5:32 acts 2:42

One shepherd and one fold! Jn 10:16

*** Ephesians 3:10
To the intent that now unto the principalities and powers in heavenly places might be known by the church the manifold wisdom of God,

“BY THE CHURCH”!

1 tim 3:15

15 But if I tarry long, that thou mayest know how thou oughtest to behave thyself in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth.

THE CHURCH IS THE PILLAR OF TRUTH!

NOT SCRIPTURE ALONE!
The bible alone was an invention of the heretic Wycliffe!

Not a doctrine of Christ or His apostolic church!

Christ acts in His church, councils, decrees, dogma’s, creeds! Matt 28:20 acts 1:8

I'm reasonably confident that when all is said and done, we are going to find out
that there were just as many depraved Protestants as there were depraved
Catholics.

For example we know from Lev 19:11 that dishonesty is prohibited, and we also
know from Rev 21:8, 21:27 & 22:15 that dishonesty is punishable.

Are Protestants sometimes dishonest? Yes.
Are Catholics sometimes dishonest? Yes.

Well; dishonesty is punishable in both camps because God is neither biased nor
prejudiced.

Rom 2:11 . . For God does not show favoritism.

So I highly recommend that we stop bashing Catholicism, and that we especially
stop bashing Jesus' mom, and instead focus on things that both sides of the aisle
have in common as pertains to depravity and its consequences.

We all have sin (sin nature) in our flesh.

We all need Jesus.

We all have the responsibility to cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of flesh and spirit, so that we can become vessels of honor.

Therefore, having these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God. 2 Corinthians 7:1

But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and silver, but also of wood and clay, some for honor and some for dishonor. Therefore if anyone cleanses himself from the latter, he will be a vessel for honor, sanctified and useful for the Master, prepared for every good work. 2 Timothy 2:20-21

To help bolster their teaching that Mary was sinless, the Roman Catholic Church has invented the doctrine of the Immaculate Conception (formally accepted as Catholic dogma in 1854). According to this false teaching, Mary was, from her very conception in her mother’s womb, “preserved free from all stain of original sin.” That is, Mary had no sinful nature. This doctrine is neither biblical nor necessary.
In Luke 1, Mary says, “My spirit rejoices in God my Savior” (verse 47). If she were sinless, she would not have needed a “Savior.” Gotquestions.org

Catholicism denies the sufficiency of Christ. They add the mass to his word. They add their tradition to his headship. They add a pope to his unique role as sinless mediator. They add another sinless mediator named Mary to his high Priestly office. They add the confessional box.

Scripture says: “holiness befits thy house, O Lord” (Ps 93:5). Mary was Jesus’ “house” for 9 months so if holiness befits God’s house would not Mary be holy also? Just like the Ark and the Tabernacle she was set apart and consecrated to the Lord., the holy dwelling of God.

1 cor 3:17 …..for the temple of God is holy….. Mary is the temple, house, dwelling of God, God had need of Her to become man!

Jesus was conceived pure and immaculate because Mary was pure and immaculate. As Job said “Who can bring a clean thing out of an unclean? There is not one.” (Job 14:4).

Mary was God’s house dwelling for 9 months

How does the dogma of the immaculate conception deny the sufficiency of Christ?

“In virtue of the merits of Christ”!

Lk 1:47 all things are possible with God!

Ineffabilis Deus
The Immaculate Conception
Pope Pius IX - 1854

“We declare, pronounce, and define that the doctrine which holds that the most Blessed Virgin Mary, in the first instance of her conception, by a singular grace and privilege granted by Almighty God, in view of the merits of Jesus Christ, the Savior of the human race, was preserved free from all stain of original sin, is a doctrine revealed by God and therefore to be believed firmly and constantly by all the faithful.”

Gen 3:15 I will put enmities between thee and the woman, and thy seed and her seed: she shall crush thy head, and thou shalt lie in wait for her heel.
(Enmities total war, none of satan’s works found in Her immaculate purity)

Lk 1:28 And the angel came in unto her, and said, Hail, Mary full of Grace, the Lord is with thee: blessed art thou among women.
(Immaculate purity, full of grace, blessed)

Lk 1:35 And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God.
(Mary must have immaculate purity)

Lk 1:47 And my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Saviour. (Preserved from all sin in virtue of the merits of the blood of the savior who is Her son)
(Christ is savior in forgiving sin and by His powerful grace preventing sin)

Lk 1:49 For he that is mighty hath done to me great things; and holy is his name.

“Things plural”

(Immaculate conception of Mary and the miraculous conception of Jesus)

Song of Solomon 4:1 Behold, thou art fair, my love; behold, thou art fair; thou hast doves' eyes within thy locks: thy hair is as a flock of goats, that appear from mount Gilead.

Rev 12:1 a woman clothed with the sun.

No where does Jesus refer to a Pope.
Isa 22:21-22
Matt 16:18-19

More here than meets the eye!

Matt 16:15-19

15 He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am?

16 And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.

17 And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven.

18 And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.

19 And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.

1 Timothy 2:5
For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;

How is it that Peter is operating as a mediator between the Father (God) and the apostles (men) with Jesus approving? Why is Peter allowed to act as mediator?

Matt 17:24-27

24 And when they were come to Capernaum, they that received tribute money came to Peter, and said, Doth not your master pay tribute?

25 He saith, Yes. And when he was come into the house, Jesus prevented him, saying, What thinkest thou, Simon? of whom do the kings of the earth take custom or tribute? of their own children, or of strangers?

26 Peter saith unto him, Of strangers. Jesus saith unto him, Then are the children free.

27 Notwithstanding, lest we should offend them, go thou to the sea, and cast an hook, and take up the fish that first cometh up; and when thou hast opened his mouth, thou shalt find a piece of money: that take, and give unto them for me and thee.

Jesus identifies Himself with Peter!
Why only Jesus & Peter?
Why not all the apostles if they are equal with peter?

Here Peter acts as mediator between men & God! (Jesus Christ)

Again Peter is allowed by Christ to act as mediator?

Is Peter being prepared to act for Christ is His church when Christ ascends to heaven?

Not peters confession of faith but Gods, the Father’s revelation about Christ!

Peter is only the mouthpiece of the Father, to bring truth to the apostles!

Apostolic church is the mouthpiece
Truth to the nations!

God chose Peter! Acts 15:7
And when there had been much disputing, Peter rose up, and said unto them, Men and brethren, ye know how that a good while ago (referring to matt 16:18) God made choice among us, that the Gentiles by my mouth should hear the word of the gospel, and believe.

Again Peter acting as mediator between God and men and is the teacher who acts in union with Christ our teacher. Heb 1:1-3

Why does the father teach the apostles thru Peter when christ is right there?

Christ defers unto peter to be the minister of this truth, why?

Christ is establishing peter the head and chief minister of His church!

Apostles learn the true faith from God thru Peter!

Jn 21:15-17

15 So when they had dined, Jesus saith to Simon Peter, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me more than these? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my lambs.

16 He saith to him again the second time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my sheep.

17 He saith unto him the third time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me? Peter was grieved because he said unto him the third time, Lovest thou me? And he said unto him, Lord, thou knowest all things; thou knowest that I love thee. Jesus saith unto him, Feed my sheep.

Again Peter is united with Christ acting as mediator between God and men as Christ’s personal representative at Christ’s command!

Your insights are welcome!

Yes. His words are truth.

Not Catholic dogma.

Pagan ritual's, forbidding priests to marry, and the worship of dead people and idols is nothing but idolatry
None of these are in the holy apostolic church!

Sinless Mary
No, she wasn't. "All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God."

Mar 7:7 in vain do they worship me, teaching as doctrines the commandments of men.’
Mar 7:8 You leave the commandment of God and hold to the tradition of men.”
Mar 7:9 And he said to them, “You have a fine way of rejecting the commandment of God in order to establish your tradition! (ESV)

Rom 3:23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, (ESV)

Jesus is Never accused by satan that His mother is a sinner!
Why would this be relevant? The gospels aren't about Mary and Satan wasn't interested in Mary. It's all about Jesus; the entire Bible points to him and his work.

Heb 4:15 For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who in every respect has been tempted as we are, yet without sin. (ESV)

Isn't it interesting how, even when given the perfect chance, the supposed sinlessness of Mary is never mentioned anywhere, but how Jesus's sinlessness is?

Rom 3 is about original sin in general not specific acts of sin, Mary was created without original sin!
This is fallaciously begging the question and biblically incorrect.

Rom 3:22-25

22 Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference:

23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

24 Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:

25 Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;

The high priest Jesus Christ offers Himself as the victim on the cross and obtains the atonement, redemption, and salvation!

The victim must be pure, sinless, & holy to be acceptable.
Of course.

The eternal Word took flesh and blood of the sinless virgin Mary!
No, because Mary wasn't sinless. He had the sinless nature of God and has always remained sinless while in the flesh.

Sinless Mary clothed the eternal Word with human flesh & blood.
She did, but she wasn't sinless. The other main issue with this is that it requires sinless regression all the way back to Adam and Eve, which clearly isn't the case.

It is the flesh & blood that He took of the virgin that is crucified for our redemption & salvation!
Right, because she's human and the Son needed to be human as well.

Jn 1:29 propitiation, must be a pure offering, spotless without blemish!

This extends to Mary Immaculate cos the eternal Word took flesh of the sinless virgin: “the woman” gen 3:15
No, it doesn't extend to Mary, any more than it extends to Eve. Mary was not sinless.

The new covenant is between God and Mary immaculate!
No, it isn't. And she isn't immaculate.

The whole doctrine of Mary's immaculate conception and subsequent sinlessness is a clear case of idolatry, holding to the traditions of men rather than to the clear statements of Scripture.

It is necessary and biblical
Lk 1:49

Sinless Mary
Luke 1:49 “For He who is mighty has done great things for me [Mary]
God has done great things for me too. Using your logic I am sinless. Who knew? Woohoo for me.

Jesus is Never accused by satan that His mother is a sinner!
Jesus never accused by satan that I am a sinner either. Woohoo

Again Peter acting as mediator between God and men and is the teacher who acts in union with Christ our teacher. Heb 1:1-3

Peter does not act as a mediator between God and man.

For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus, 1 Timothy 2:5

Peter does not act as a mediator between God and man.

For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus, 1 Timothy 2:5
There are many examples of other people acting as mediators

They are not opposed to Christ and act with His authority and command

So it does not contradict the “one mediator”

Examples:

Matt 28:19
Jn 20:17
Acts 2:14
Acts 9:11
Acts 16:17
2 cor 5:18
1 Jn 4:6
2 Jn 1:3
2 pet 1:11

Prime example:

2 pet 1:11

11 For so an entrance shall be ministered unto you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

And on practically every page of the NT so its not a “fundamentalist law” like you think!

Thks

Cannot give enough glory to Mary!
I think the above sums up the situation.
9 Pray like this: “‘Our Father in heaven, may your name be kept holy. 10 Let your Kingdom come. Let your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. 11 Give us today our daily bread. 12 Forgive us our debts, as we also forgive our debtors. 13 Bring us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. For yours is the Kingdom, the power, and the glory forever. Amen.’
Matthew 6:9-13
The glory is not Mary's. We are not to give her the glory.
The glory does not belong to the church. We are not to give it the glory.
We are to give the glory to God. He has said, that only He, is good.
