Trump on Twitter

Do you agree with Trump's use of Twitter?

And I can understand not wanting to risk the President speaking or honestly writing himself extensively.

Past Presidents have used the media available .. Not speaking of the words of the POTUS ( any of them) but the idea of using the media of the day... Why Not?
While I'm not against that but we vote on some shallow reasons. Some say Nixon lost because he looked sick when he ran against Jfk.

President Trump is no dummy. He knows what he's doing and he knows how to pull strings and play the players in that game he's now entered in D.C.
He has every right to have a Twitter account when certain media outlets think they have every right to assail his Presidency and cast barbs at this nation and defend law breakers and enemies within and outside our borders.
When the enemy owns media, the President sure has a right to Tweet back.

Yeah, when Obama didn't have his teleprompter he stuttered and stumbled all over the place........'you didn't build that'....'clinging to their guns and religion'.......talk about foot in mouth disease.

I think I saw him a few times in long interviews and things and he seemed able to express things pretty well.

So, what you are saying is he really meant those things?

I agree with this more than at any time since his inauguration. I do believe if the same election were held today, he would win the popular vote handily. The haters hate him even more than they did before, but I have the feeling he's proven his metal to the ones in the middle. He has an army of people on board with him through his use of Twitter. Some people don't know what to make of him and never will, but I believe he is greatly underestimated by his detractors.

The "you didn't build that" I think is exaggerated by being taken out of the entirety of what he said.
Those are just a couple of the most blatant.....but we all remember 'if you like your doctor' and 'if you like your health plan'......Yeah, Obama had a severe case of foot in mouth disease.......

Yes, I guess most successful liars are articulate.....otherwise they would not be successful.
Personally, I prefer a doer to an orator.....

I don't think a judicious thoughtful use of twitter would be a bad thing. I believe his twitter posts would work more good if he considered the sheer force a president's words have. It would help if he would be able to intersperse these posts with well developed articulate traditional communication to demonstrate what he says is logical and rational. I don't know that he can without a lot of help and work though.
So he sticks with twitter.

He's not about to "demonstrate" that what he says is logical or rational. If you don't get it he won't dumb it down for you, he'll just move on. It really surprises me you haven't recognized this pattern.

I don't think those were being inarticulate, just wrong or dishonest.

I'd rather have an inarticulate non-statesman who is correct and honest. And this is why Trump won.

I would like to see him admit when he's wrong, and learn the difference between working in the public sector vs private.

I thought it was the idea we don't do things alone. No man is an island. We rely on things that others have done.
Local history, the government didn't clear land for a1a,nor us1,nor old dixie .those were roads cleared by locals to get to their lands.

I can give more examples of thar locally.
