Does the bible lay strict emphasis on it? Yes? Why?

Marriage is a 'picture' of Christ and the Church.. Let me rephrase marriage should be a picture of Christ and the Church...

Why more emphasis on it than on other sins

Don't think anyone is. If so, only because it is one of the ones being most questioned now. And it can have consequences that affect way more than just you.

Would point out that while I do believe in abstinence until marriage, I would not automatically reject someone who may not be a virgin. It may have been a mistake they made in the past but truly repented for, or it may not be their fault as in the case of rape/sexual abuse.

1Co 6:16 What? know ye not that he which is joined to an harlot is one body? for two, saith he, shall be one flesh.
1Co 6:17 But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit.
1Co 6:18 Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body.
1Co 6:19 What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?

We can tell a lie , ask forgiveness and move on ...sex sins are much more complicated.

Thanks a lot. This reminds me of a peculiar word: flee

One of the not-easy-to-resist sins
Oh yes.It is called temptation. But it is a wonderful when a couple has gotten married and they have saved themselves for that partner. And it is better for the marriage.
