Jesus was not sent to the world of Gentiles for He says Himself and the OT Scripture says it as well that Messiah was sent by God to the lost sheep of the House of Israel. Jesus died approximately 33AD. (Paul was saved about four years later). Jesus sent His apostles into Israel (Acts 1:8 Jerusalem, Judaea, Samaria, and the uttermost parts of the earth which is the Orient/Mesopotamia - east, to send the message to the twelve tribes that lived scattered in these Gentile nations to herald that Israel's Messiah had come (and gone.) The gospel was never meant for the Gentiles at this time.
Jesus could not be sent to the world of the Gentiles, because He had to be sent to HIs own, who rejected Him. ( the Gentiles could not reject the Messiah, only Israel had those feelings.)
John 1:11 He came unto his
own, and his
own received him not.
Matthew 23:37 O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not!
38 Behold, your house is left unto you desolate.
39 For I say unto you, Ye shall not see me henceforth, till ye shall say, Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord.
Then repentance has to be first be presented to Israel, ( they have guilt for murdering the Son of man)
It is in the Jews own book how they will kill their own Messiah, Christ fulfilled what is written in the Torah, they therefore have to repent of murder, ( the Gentiles have no such repentance as Israel to make.)
When Plate appealed to all the people of Israel of the innocent blood of Christ they were about to spill, they curse themselves by saying, HIs blood be on them AND their children.
Acts 3:13 The God of Abraham, and of Isaac, and of Jacob, the God of our fathers, hath glorified his Son Jesus; whom ye delivered up, and denied him in the presence of Pilate, when he was determined to let him go.
14 But ye denied the Holy One and the Just, and desired a murderer to be granted unto you;
15 And killed the Prince of life, whom God hath raised from the dead; whereof we are witnesses.
Acts 3:18 But those things, which God before had shewed by the mouth of all his prophets, that Christ should suffer, he hath so fulfilled.
19 Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord.
20 And he shall send Jesus Christ, which before was preached unto you:
Matthew 27:24 When Pilate saw that he could prevail nothing, but that rather a tumult was made, he took water, and washed his hands before the multitude, saying, I am innocent of the blood of this just person: see ye to it.
25 Then answered all the people, and said, His blood be on us, and on our children.
The people of Israel are reminded before what they did murdering Stephen, of the same word, of Moses telling of the prophet they had to hear, or be destroyed from among the people.
They are told they are the children of the prophets ( who their fathers persecuted and killed) and of the covenant God made with all people of the earth, but God raising His Son ( who they also murdered.) was sent to bless them, in turning them all away from their iniquity.
Acts 3:22 For Moses truly said unto the fathers, A prophet shall the Lord your God raise up unto you of your brethren, like unto me; him shall ye hear in all things whatsoever he shall say unto you.
23 And it shall come to pass, that every soul, which will not hear that prophet, shall be destroyed from among the people.
24 Yea, and all the prophets from Samuel and those that follow after, as many as have spoken, have likewise foretold of these days.
25 Ye are the children of the prophets, and of the covenant which God made with our fathers, saying unto Abraham, And in thy seed shall all the kindreds of the earth be blessed.
26 Unto you first God, having raised up his Son Jesus, sent him to bless you, in turning away every one of you from his iniquities.
But Israel did not accept that they killed their own Messiah, they instead were filled with envy, ( provoked to jealousy and anger by a foolish nation, the sound went into all the earth, so Israel did know, as the Lord had held HIs hand out all day to a disobedient and gainsaying people in the Jews, but was found of the Gentiles, because they have no stumbling block as the Jews have, of law and not faith, of murdering all the prophets and the Son.)
This declaration is told to Israel, "It was necessary that the word of God should first have been spoken to you: but seeing you put it from you, and judge yourselves unworthy of everlasting life, lo, we turn to the Gentiles, the Lord commanded us, saying, I have set you to be a light of the Gentiles, that you should be for salvation unto the ends of the earth."
Acts 13:45 But when the Jews saw the multitudes, they were filled with envy, and spake against those things which were spoken by Paul, contradicting and blaspheming.
46 Then Paul and Barnabas waxed bold, and said, It was necessary that the word of God should first have been spoken to you: but seeing ye put it from you, and judge yourselves unworthy of everlasting life, lo, we turn to the Gentiles.
47 For so hath the Lord commanded us, saying, I have set thee to be a light of the Gentiles, that thou shouldest be for salvation unto the ends of the earth.
Romans 10:18 But I say, Have they not heard? Yes verily, their sound went into all the earth, and their words unto the ends of the world.
19 But I say, Did not Israel know? First Moses saith, I will provoke you to jealousy by them that are no people, and by a foolish nation I will anger you.
20 But Esaias is very bold, and saith, I was found of them that sought me not; I was made manifest unto them that asked not after me.
21 But to Israel he saith, All day long I have stretched forth my hands unto a disobedient and gainsaying people.
